Globe recently launched its latest postpaid plan. It’s now more flexible including the option to avail of a Line-only plan which has a bigger mobile data allowance. Smart, on the other hand, already updated its postpaid plans with Giga Plan that’s introduced last year.
If you’re planning on jumping to postpaid, here’s a comparison to give you an idea which one is more suited for you. Let’s compare the Line-only option of Globe’s ThePLAN (Call and Data) and Smart’s Giga Plan.
A Line-only Plan is easier to avail that a typical postpaid plan since it doesn’t include a handset from the telco. No handset means you get more allocation from your monthly fee. Also, it’s got a shorter contract for just 6 months versus the usual 24-month lock-up. The catch is you should provide your own handset.

ThePlan is more customizable than Giga Plan. Better revise the article to include the Data Plus versions of ThePlan.

Totallt unreliable. Delayed texts, signal limited to area and internet wont go up to 500 kbps.

You can have more data allocation with globe’s The PLAN if you choose the Data Plus Plan (instead of Call & Data Plan) but you’ll lose the unli calls and text. Do note that globe has an additional P500 consumable :)
