Summary of advantages:
Huawei P30 Pro
Galaxy S10 Plus
In terms of screen size, the Huawei P30 Pro measures a little bigger than that of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. The S10 Plus sports a 6.3-inch Infinity “O” display, meaning that while the S10 Plus doesn’t have a notch, it does have a punch-hole front camera located on the upper right of the screen. As for the P30 Pro, its 6.47-inch FHD+ OLED display has a waterdrop notch on top.
When it comes to RAM, both devices offer 8GB however, the S10 Plus wins this round by having a variant with 12GB RAM. As for storage, they have similar base storage of 128GB, but the S10 Plus has a 1TB limited edition variant. Both devices have expandable storage capabilities as well.
Since these are flagships smartphones, high-performance chipsets power up both the P30 Pro and S10 Plus. The P30 Pro is equipped with Kirin 980, while the S10 Plus has an Exynos 9820. Both chipsets are powerful although the Exynos 9820 has better performance benchmarks than the Kirin 980, therefore giving the S10 Plus the win in this category.
Let’s move on to the cameras. First up are the front-facing cameras. The P30 Pro has a 32MP f/2.0 front camera while the S10 Plus has a 10MP + 8MP depth dual front camera setup. While the P30 Pro slightly edges out the S10 Plus, the latter does have Dual Pixel AF and has an extra camera for depth.
For the rear cameras, this category’s quite a fight. The P30 Pro has a 40MP + 20MP + 8MP with 10x Hybrid Zoom and TOF technology. As for the S10 Plus, its triple camera setup consists of a 12MP + 16MP + 12MP with telephoto 2x optical zoom OIS. Looking at the specs alone, we can say that the P30 Pro blows the S10 Plus out of the water. When it comes to quality, however, we can’t say much as we haven’t exactly tested out the P30 Pro’s cameras ourselves. We’ve seen the quality of the photos the S10 Plus can take though, and we can say that they’re pretty good with rich colors, great contrast, and noticeable details.
Wired earphones users will be delighted with the S10 Plus as it does have a 3.5mm audio port, while the P30 Pro doesn’t have one.
Both devices have wireless charging capabilities and wireless reverse charging support. They’re pretty much on the same level as well when it comes to battery capacity, as the P30 Pro carries a 4,200mAh battery while the S10 Plus has a 4,100mAh one.
If you’re more into smartphone photography, consider the Huawei P30 Pro in your picks with its impressive main and secondary camera resolutions. If you’re into entertainment with looking at smartphone photography as a plus, get the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. The Huawei P30 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus are both top-of-the-line smartphones, considering their premium specs. Which one’s your pick as the better smartphone? Share it with us!

Margot says:
Well the price are has a huge difference..samsung is way more expensive
Rainstone says:
Why is the Punch-hole camera marked as an advantage? It doesn’t offer any practical advantage over having a notch. The notch and punch-hole are generally the same.
Hmmm says:
Totally agree. There’s nothing special about punch holes. They both cover the screen.
Hmmm says:
Di naman siguro advantage ang punch hole camera ng samsung sa dew drop notch ng p30 pro. Either of the two, kung flagship lang, parehas panalo mga to.
