All of the smartphones are made up of polycarbonate material covered with a glossy design just like with our previous comparison. They’re all nice-looking devices that come in different colors. Looking at the front, the OPPO A3s and the Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 use the notch design, while the Samsung Galaxy J6+ doesn’t have it. Which one looks better is a matter of preference but we’re voting for the Y7 Pro 2019 because it has the smallest notch for a more immersive screen, and you can also hide it if you’re not a fan of the said design.
All of the devices sport an HD+ IPS display, but in terms of size, sharpness, color accuracy, and brightness level, the Y7 Pro 2019 is the winner. The OPPO A3s is leaning on the warm colors, the Galaxy J6+ is on the cooler side, while the Y7 Pro 2019 displays the right colors overall.
All three smartphones sport a 13MP main rear camera. However, the Y7 Pro 2019 has the widest aperture while the J6+ comes with a higher secondary camera resolution.
For the front cameras, the Y7 Pro 2019 sports the highest resolution while the rest has the same number of megapixels, but the J6+ has the widest aperture.
When it comes to photo quality, the Galaxy J6+‘s rear camera stands out by producing the best color accuracy, detail, sharpness, and dynamic range. Even on low-lighting conditions, this device captures the subject pretty well with the least noise in the bunch. Another plus is its Live focus feature which lets you adjust how much bokeh do you want to have in your image. The second place goes to the Y7 Pro 2019 since it has a better color reproduction than the OPPO A3s.
For the front camera, the Y7 Pro 2019 wins since it provides the best color accuracy, sharpness, dynamic range, sharpness, and detail. Also, the photos captured from this device feels the most natural to me. The OPPO A3s goes in second place given that its beautification pretty much gives that ideal look (smoother skin) when it comes to selfies.
Do note that the Y7 Pro 2019 doesn’t have a bokeh mode which is a bummer. It’s worth noting, however, that the Galaxy J6+ has a wide-angle selfie mode which is good if you want to have a groupie.
The Y7 Pro 2019 and OPPO A3s are powered with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chip while the Galaxy J6+ has a Snapdragon 425 which doesn’t perform well as much as the former devices. Looking at the benchmark scores that we got, both devices are almost the same, so you can pick either one of them if you’re looking for a smartphone with good performance.

There’s not much to talk about when it comes to RAM capacity. All three smartphones have 3GB which is good for overall tasks such as browsing, video streaming, social media posting, file transferring, and even multi-tasking. The only bottleneck here is the device’s chipset performance which in this case, the Galaxy J6+ is lacking.
All three devices have the same 32GB storage, however, if you check their free space, the Y7 Pro 2019 has the most space for files, videos, games, photos, and music here. Leading with a 24.5GB, this surpasses the 23.9GB of the Galaxy J6+ and 23GB of the OPPO A3s.
The three phones have all the basic connectivity features covered like Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB. The, on the other hand, Y7 Pro 2019 doesn’t have a Gyroscope sensor which is a bummer given that the two other phones have it.
For battery life, the OPPO A3s wins with its 21 hours and 27 minutes battery life based on our test. The Y7 Pro 2019 comes second while the Galaxy J6+ trails behind.
Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 | OPPO A3s (3GB) | Samsung Galaxy J6+ | |
---|---|---|---|
Video Loop test | 17 hours and 25 minutes | 21 hours and 27 minutes | 9 hours and 5 minutes |
All three devices have different user interfaces but run on the same Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. For this aspect, we’ll give a point to all three since it will depend on the user’s preference on which UI will they prefer.
For pricing, both the Y7 Pro 2019 and OPPO A3s are priced at PHP 9,990USD 170INR 14,432EUR 162CNY 1,240 while the Galaxy J6+ gets a PHP 10,990USD 187INR 15,876EUR 178CNY 1,364 price. The first two devices are more affordable and based on the advantages; they are most likely the devices that you should consider buying.

Why buy any of these phones when you can have the Redmi Note 7 (4GB + 64GB), Realme 3 (4GB + 64GB) and Honor 10 Lite (3GB +32GB) at P9990, all of which have better build and internals, as well as Pie out of the box
