OPPO has officially launched its Reno6 series in the Philippines, and leading the current offerings is the Reno6 5G. But how does it fare compared to its competitors powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets like the POCO X3 GT and OnePlus Nord 2 5G? Find out in this specs comparison.

All three smartphones sport large screens of above 6-inches and Full HD+ resolutions. The largest screen goes to the POCO X3 GT at 6.6-inches at 399PPI. The OPPO Reno6 5G and the OnePlus Nord 2 5G have 6.43-inches at 410PPI. However, their screen size and pixel density differences are almost insignificant and won’t be noticeable in daily use. What you will notice, though, is the difference in the panel used.
The Reno6 5G and Nord 2 5G feature AMOLED panels, which results to a screen with punchy colors and deep blacks. The X3 GT, however, uses IPS which produces natural colors and good viewing angles.
Another factor you will notice is the refresh rate and touch sampling rate. The X3 GT leads with its 120Hz refresh rate with DynamicSwitch, while the other two max at 90Hz. The X3 GT also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, making the screen more responsive to touches, especially in gaming. The Reno6 5G offers 180Hz, while the Nord 2 5G’s touch sampling rate wasn’t specified.
The POCO X3 GT also leads in terms of glass protection with the newer Gorilla Glass Victus, while its competition uses Gorilla Glass 5. It also boasts 360-degree ambient light sensors to allow the screen to make optimum adjustments to its screen for better viewing.
The three devices are powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets but of different models. The Reno6 5G has the Dimensity 900 5G with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, the POCO X3 GT 5G has the Dimensity 1100 5G with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, while the Nord 2 5G has the Dimensity 1200-AI 5G with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. As you can see, the Reno6 5G got the lowest score, while the POCO X3 GT 5G and Nord 2 5G have exceeded the 500K mark with a minimal difference, with the latter having the highest score. So while casual users won’t notice any difference in daily use but will be felt in demanding applications like games.
The three devices also offer different configurations when it comes to memory. Both the OPPO Reno6 5G and POCO X3 GT 5G are offered with 8GB RAM. The former, however, features a RAM Expansion to improve multitasking capabilities when handling plenty of background processes. The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is also offered with 8GB RAM but with the addition of a 12GB option.
Storage-wise, the Reno6 5G only has 128GB of UFS 2.1, while the POCO X3 GT 5G and Nord 2 5G have 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 options. All three don’t have support for microSD cards.
All three phones sport triple rear cameras. The OPPO Reno6 5G and POCO X3 GT 5G have the same configuration with a 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro. However, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G has a 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP mono. All three are versatile configurations with high-resolution sensors.
For selfies, the Reno6 5G and the Nord 2 5G have 32MP shooters, while the POCO X3 GT 5G only has 16MP.

The three devices are pretty much identical when it comes to connectivity. They all have 5G, dual-SIM, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS. For biometrics, they all have fingerprint scanners. The Reno6 5G and Nord 2 5G have in-display scanners, while the POCO X3 GT 5G has it on the side. All have face unlock as well.
Regarding other features, we noticed that the POCO X3 GT 5G seems to offer more with its IR Blaster, Hi-Rest audio support, and IP53 dust and splash resistance.
The POCO X3 GT 5G and the Nord 2 5G have dual speakers, while the Reno6 5G only has one.
Software-wise, three devices use their own UI, but all are based on Android 11.
The biggest battery goes to the POCO X3 GT 5G with its 5,000mAh capacity and 67W Turbo Charging, followed by the OnePlus Nord 2 5G with 4,500mAh capacity and 65W Warp Charge. Finally, the smallest battery goes to the Reno6 5G with a 4,300mAh capacity and 65W SuperVOOC 2.0.

Let’s talk about the price. The most expensive among the three is the Reno6 5G at PHP 26,999USD 460INR 39,003EUR 438CNY 3,351 with an 8GB + 128GB configuration. At this point, the Reno6 5G becomes a hard sell considering that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G already offers 12GB + 256GB for PHP 25,990USD 443INR 37,545EUR 422CNY 3,225. Its 8GB + 128GB model only costs PHP 21,990USD 375INR 31,767EUR 357CNY 2,729.
The most affordable option is the POCO X3 GT 5G, as the 8GB + 128GB model is just PHP 15,990USD 272INR 23,099EUR 260CNY 1,984, while the 8GB + 256GB is at PHP 17,990USD 307INR 25,988EUR 292CNY 2,233.
Which one to get?
If you have a limited budget, are fine with the Dimensity 1100 chip, don’t need 12GB of RAM, and want features like 120Hz refresh rate, IR blaster, largest battery, and IP53 protection, get the POCO X3 GT 5G.
If you want 12GB of RAM and need the performance of the Dimensity 1200 chip, don’t mind the lower resolution of the main camera, go with the OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
As for the OPPO Reno6 5G, it’s a tough sell considering the competition mentioned. But if you’re fond of the brand, its design, and the selfie prowess it’s known for, and have the budget, by all means, you’re welcome to buy this instead.
