Display
Both devices are almost equal in terms of display specs. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G is just slightly larger at 6.67-inches compared to the Realme X50 Pro 5G’s 6.44-inch. Both have the same FHD+ resolution, Super AMOLED panel, 90Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. We don’t have the devices on hand yet, but based on the specs, both devices can provide a great viewing experience.
Camera
The X50 Pro 5G and Mi 10 Pro 5G have quad-rear cameras but of different configurations. The former has a 64MP main with a 12MP telephoto, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP for portrait shots. The latter, on the other hand, focuses on resolution and zoom for having a whopping 108MP main, 20MP ultra-wide, 12MP short telephoto, and 8MP long telephoto.
In this aspect, if you want the most resolution possible in a photo with better zoom capabilities, the Mi 10 Pro 5G is your best bet.
For selfies, the Realme X50 Pro 5G has dual front cameras with a higher resolution 32MP Sony IMX 616 sensor with the addition to the 8MP ultra-wide. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G settles with a single 20MP camera. So, when it comes to selfies, Realme’s flagship wins.
Chipset and Memory
The two devices have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 5G chipset with Adreno 650 GPU, so we can expect the same flagship performance when handling tasks and games. Both are also powered by custom UIs based on Android 10.
Memory-wise, the Realme listed three RAM configurations for the X50 Pro 5G: 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. The Mi 10 Pro 5G, on the other hand, only has two: 8GB and 12GB.
For storage, the Realme X50 Pro 5G comes in 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.0. The Mi 10 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has 256GB and 512GB. If you want the biggest storage available, the Mi 10 Pro is the best choice. But if that’s too much, the X50 Pro 5G offers a sufficient 128GB model.
Battery
The Realme X50 Pro 5G has a smaller 4,200mAh battery compared to the Mi 10 Pro 5G’s 4,500mAh. However, Realme’s flagship boasts a powerful 65W SuperDart Charge, so we can expect a faster charging speed compared to Xiaomi’s offering. The Mi 10 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has a 50W wired fast charge but also supports a 30W fast wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Which one to get?
If I want the best specs possible, which includes ample storage, big battery capacity, and high-resolution cameras with excellent zoom capabilities, I will go for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G. But if I want to shoot macros, theoretically better portrait shots, high-resolution front cameras with wide-angle shots, and powerful charging, then go for the Realme X50 Pro 5G.
