YugaTech – LG G2 Contest: Index Finger Challenge!

It’s time to give out some really cool prizes to our loyal readers here so YugaTech and LG Mobile are going to give away one brand new LG G2!

As you may already know, LG G2 is the flagship smartphone of LG Mobile. It’s the only Android phone on US Consumer Reports’ Top 10 Electronic Products of 2013 and has been hailed as “The Best Smartphone in the World” by Stuff Magazine.

What sets it apart from all the other smartphones in the market is its Rear Key Button, which is a unique innovation inspired by the human use of the index finger when using a smartphone. (You may check out this TVC to get an idea.)

Here’s the mechanics of the challenge:

1. Come up with a short video that shows the Most Amazing Thing you can do with your Index Finger. Be creative with your entry. You can be funny, witty, deep, daring or just surprise us.
2. Upload it on YouTube.
3. Video title should be “YugaTech – LG G2 Index Finger Challenge: Your own entry TITLE here ”
4. Video description should include “LG G2. Learning from You.” and this link to the LG G2 TV commercial http://bit.ly/1diSWIi
5. Once uploaded on YouTube, leave a comment below with a link to your submission.

You may submit as many creative entries to increase your chances of winning.

Our criteria for judging:
70% Creativity
30% YouTube Views

Representatives from LG Philippines and Yuga will be judging the entries. Submission starts today and ends in December 15. We’ll pick the winner and award the LG G on the 3rd week of December.

  16. I hope the judges DO NOT base their decision on how ‘professionally made’ the video is. Lugi naman yung mga hindi masyadong marunong sa video editing.

    • Actually sir/ma’am, the judges must use background check. I’m a Nurse and doesn’t have an IT background. Halos half day ko din ginawa yung videos ko na yan at sobrang hirap. Medyo d lang ako ngandahan sa comment mo sorry. Pero wala naman sa criteria a na bawal gumamit ng Video editing software. Sabi kasi creativity, at dun ko nakikita sarili ko sa creativity. And there are tons of way to do amazing videos the key is just “Creativity”

    • Hmm…. I don’t think fdsf said na ‘bawal gumamit ng Video editing software’.

    • Video editing, you can not edit videos without using a Video Editing Software ar applications. A simple splicing or changing the format of a video uses a video editing program.

    • nakita mo ng 70% will be based on creativity, natural hindi pipili ang mga judges ng hindi pinaghirapan na video. kahit na may background sa video editing yung sasali, kasalanan ba nila kung sanay silang mag-edit. alalahanin mo hindi pisong kendi ang prize.

  93. What if youtube views are frozen and it will take some time for youtube to verify the views? I see videos stopped at “301+” views.

    • Kasi Tank views lang yun!hinigpitan ng youtube ang pag update ng views pag isang IP lang, madadaya jan yung mga naka private yung video statistics,dun kasi talaga makikita ang original view count and time watched =)

    • ^ as far as i’m concerned every new video uploaded goes through this, no matter how “real” the views are. My only concern is what if the “verification” of views will take a lot more days than the day of announcement of the winner? So yung mga noon pa nagupload lang yung makikinabang sa view count? Tsaka dun sa statistics, same thing, the one’s counted are those that are already verified, meaning those are still not final. Anyway, I usually see videos with frozen views to count up after 4 days it was uploaded. :)

  97. Importante pa rin yung 30%. Let’s say yung may highest views eh automatic na 30%. Tapos dahil sa layo ng agwat mo sa vid na may highest views eh mga 4% ka lang. haha.As of now 2365 ang views nung leading.

    highest views = 2365: 100% x .3 = 30%

    So kapag 301 ang view mo,
    (301/2365)x 100 x. 3 = 3.81% :(

    Popular Entry (W/ the highest number of views, as of now 2365)
    Creativity: 50%
    Views: 30%
    Total: 80%

    Creative Entry (stucked in the dreaded 301 views)
    Creativity: 70%
    Views: 4%
    Total: 74%
