Hugo Barra explains why not all Xiaomi products are available in all countries

Have you ever wondered why the Xiaomi Mi4 is still not available locally? If so, then allow Xiaomi’s own Hugo Barra to enlighten you with some of the necessary undertakings needed to export their products (even MiBunnies) to a particular market.

In the short video below, Barra explains that Xiaomi had to make minor alterations to their products in order to make it more “localized”, as well as getting a stamp of approval from the government agency of the country where a given product will be sold.

In the case of our beloved country, Xiaomi also had to deal with issues like port congestion and, most importantly, rampant corruption before they can successfully bring their goods in.

  1. Nakakatawa yung mga nagcomment sa FB regarding this video of Hugo Barra.

    • lol, so hindi mas corrupt india?

Not sure etong Redmi 1S

Mahirap maging hipokrito at magturo turo.

  2. Sa zte grand xl nalang kasi 1,999 lang!
Kelan kaya next sale ng zte?

    • Empleyado ka ba? Empleyado lng daw kasi humakot lahat ng limited stocks ng ZTE

  3. Barra explains that Xiaomi had to make minor alterations to their products in order to make it more “localized”

Translation: “We had to make our spyware that sends your personal data to our Chinese servers more hidden so no one would notice.” LOL

    • Nakakatawa naman po yang comment mo po. Every entertaining po, ano po? Galing.

    • Very***
