Sugru promises to fix your crappy iPhone cable

It’s no secret that those charging cables for the iPhone are crappy and can easily get frayed or broken. And a replacement cable is also very expensive at Php990 a pop.

So it’s no wonder 3rd-party fixes and DYIs are popular these days, the recent one would be those 20-peso plastic coils that wraps around the entire charging cable to protect it.

The one we just discovered recently after successfully getting its crowdfunding target is Sugru. This moldable plastic basically does the trick.

Check out the video below.

  1. Usually don sa dugtungan ng jack at wire saka sa parte na palagi nag bend nasisira. Try this
    1. Sa dugtungan ng jack at wire patakan nyo ng super glue nang hindi nagugugot
    2. don naman sa palagi nag-bend yon nga yong spring or clear nail polish

  2. Why are people paying premium for accessories that are flimsy and easily frayed? It has been ages but Apple is not addressing this concern. Maybe it is intentional since it gives the more profit.

    • Oo naman. The fruit phone “maker” just became the largest “industrial” US company 2 years ago. And the largest “technology” firm on the planet on the back of cheap far eastern sweat. That’s how gullible people in this world are.

  3. note that AFAIK sugru is not available in the philippines.

Dont know if vulca seal can work

    • what is ‘AFAIK’? tamad ako mag google…sorry

  4. Some friend introduced me to this cable few months ago from Woodford. It is supposedly the worlds best Lightning cable with lifetime warranty. A kickstarter project also. Too good a deal to pass up. Got mine from Lazada and I’m very satisfied.

  5. is Sugru available in the Philippine market? Where to buy? Thanks
