Acer has finally launched its first handheld gaming device here in IFA Berlin. Called the Acer Nitro Blaze 7 (GN771), the device is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS with 8 cores running up to 5.1GHz max boost, 16 threads, 24MB cache and paired with Radeon 780M 2.7GHz GPU.
The Nitro Blaze 7 also comes with up to 16GB RAM and up to 2TB of internal storage which can be expanded via a built-in microSD card slot. For connectivity, the device comes with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The display is a 7-inch IPS panel with full HD resolution (1080×1920 pixels), 144Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness and supports AMD Freesync Premium.
The handheld device supports a plethora I/O ports — 2x USB 4.0 Type-C, 3.5mm audio port, microSD card reader, 2 microphones, and dual speakers @ 1W.
The Acer Blaze 7 run on Windows Home 11 and comes with Acer Game Space and a 3-month free PC Game Pass access.
Acer’s Nitro Blaze 7 will directly compete with the Asus ROG Ally 2, Lenovo Legion Go and MSI Claw, although it’s quite intriguing that it took Acer this long to come up with one.
