Xiaomi 15 takes center-stage here in MWC, Barcelona

This week is Mobile World Congress here in Barcelona, Spain and Xiaomi is hogging the spotlight on the freshly announced Xiaomi 15 Series at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona.

This year’s Xiaomi 15 combines cutting-edge technology with a sleek design, positioning itself as a strong contender in the flagship smartphone market for 2025.

While not much has been changed on the exterior side of the phone, new hardware and software features were made in order to polish this device. For one, the relatively smaller form factor, glass construction material and powerful hardware makes the Xiaomi 15 a unique and more attractive device. Design-wise, Xiaomi has already created a polished look to this number series that is distinctive and familiar.

Since the release of the Xiaomi 13, most of the design changes were merely polishing and minute tweaks up until the Xiaomi 15. This could mean that the brand has finally settled with a look that is distinctly theirs and will be more recognizable as the series progresses.

As expected, all three rear cameras boast 50MP sensors with Leica Summilux lenses, known for their exceptional optical quality and light-gathering capabilities.

The system uses Xiaomi AISP 2.0 computational photography platform and enhances image quality using AI-powered algorithms. The usual Leica professional mode and filters for creative control are present with support for 10-bit RAW DNG format for advanced post-processing.
