Blogging workshop in Jakarta

Must be my travel year this 2006. I’ve also been slated to go to Jakarta, Indonesia on the 2nd week of November around the 13th to 15th. It will be another 3 day workshop on blogging and podcasting, similar to what I did in Taipei last month.

November is definitely a packed month. Good times.

tama si cat, grabe ang traffic sa Jakarta. oo, dapat makapunta ka ng Bali. tapos ang words na “mahal” at “mura” ay pareho ng meaning sa Indonesian. so kung mahal ang presyo, you could say “ang taas naman ng presyo”. also, ingat ka kasi maraming mga pinoy na nagnenegosyo sa Jakarta, so baka ang tindero/tindera ay pinoy pala. so for the Indonesian phrases:

thank you = terima kasih (you can pronounce it as trima kasi) when you add “banyak” at the end, it would mean “thank you very much”.

    you’re welcome = sama-sama or kembali

    good morning = selamat pagi

good afternoon = selamat siang (12 – 4 pm) selamat sore (after 4 pm)

good evening = selamat malam (use it when it’s already sunset)

(selamat you can pronounce it as slamat)

let me know if there are other terms/words you’d like to know. hope this helps. :)

  4. The Ca t says:

Hala, ano ba yan, sinusundan mo ba ang yapak ko ha? Baka susunod nyan, dito na sa Estet pumunta.
Eniwey, kahit hindi mo solicit ang advice ko, bibigay ko pa rin saiyo.

    1. Convince your host to bring you to Bali.
    2. When you ride a cab, see to it that doors are locked, minsan pag may traffic may biglang sasakay saiyo at hold-up.
    3. Traffic dyan grabeh.
    4. Sa atin, atin ito, ang oras nila ay mas masahol sa Filipino time.
    5. Ang market nila tatlong shifts, merong morning, merong hapon at merong gabi.
    6. grabeh ang market nila ng cd at dvd. makikita mo singers, pinoy
    7. maraming tagalog words na pareho tayo kaya pag tumawad ka huwag kayong mag-uusap ng kasama mong pinoy, nakakaintindi ang mga bruho.

  5. Jaypee says:

wow, Jakarta naman this time ha. maybe you should learn some Indonesian phrases para mas ma-impress sayo ang mga magaattend sa workshop mo. hehe. if you want I can teach you basic ones. :)
