Maita of Architelago was asking what happened to last year’s iBlog Summit and whether there’ll be another one this year.
I almost forgot about that one actually but last week, while meeting with Ms. Rissa Ofilada (one of the original organizers of the iBlog), she mentioned to me that there will indeed be another one this year. Though she’s not with the UP-ISP anymore (she’s with the office of Senator Mar Roxas now), she will still be heading this year’s installation of the Philippine Blogging Summit.
There’s no official date yet but it should be around the same time as last year (first to 2nd week of May). Since she asked me to help out in the planning of the program along with several others, I may be able to relay some updates on this as we go along.
If your organization or company would like to help out by sponsoring this event, just email me and I’ll hook you up with Ms. Ofilada.
iBlog2 will be on April 18.
Hi! Thanks for picking up my blog query. Being a relative newbee (yes, with only 5 blogs:)) to the blogosphere, I thought that the a Summit would be a great venue for Pinoy bloggers to collaborate face-to-face , and strengthen the online community.
I guess the first hurdle a blogger has to overcome is not how to put up his blog–it’s how to get a readership for it! Any tips? Maybe the summit can address ‘blog marketing’ and becoming a pro-blogger as well?
first to second week of May? too bad, i can’t attend it anymore. i’ll just look forward to the photos you’ll be taking of the event. :)
