I postponed publishing this post because I was so damn careless to drive a little tipsy. I grazed my car against the parking lot gate post on the way home — a very tiny almost-invisible dent with some yellow paint transfer, something a good buffing could easily remove (I hope!).
Moving forward, really nice to gather around and share good stuff over bottomless drinks and booze. First, let me be very clear that this event was sponsored by Globe Innove (pronounced as ‘e-no-ve’) at the Temple Bar, GB3 Ours was the 3rd leg, composed of a cluster they called the influencers.
Picture above was borrowed from Anton. I didn’t brought my camera so I won’t be distracted and not miss any of the conversations.
With such similar meet-ups I’ve had in the past, I don’t tag along much expectations. The fact that I am being heard and that my opinion matters to these people (corporate or otherwise) is enough. What they send me home with is just icing on the cake.
Going back to the meet-up, it was clear to me that the agenda was simple — gather a group of like-minded people from different ‘clusters’ and demographics, show them your stuff, ask them what more they need (and willing to pay for) and address the issues or come up with a better business model. Hopefully, at the end of the day, they’d be able to take a good measure of the pulse of their target market (heavy users). With us bloggers, they get the golden ticket of getting feedback from those who receive tons of relevant feedback thu our blogs.
My only disappointment though was that we didn’t have much time to mingle amongst ourselves. Still, I am sure these people power-bloggers — Kiven, Rico, Noemi, Gail, JAngelo, Marc, Markku, Connie, Jayvee, Bimbo and Anton — will still be present in upcoming sessions to meet and greet other bloggers just like what we’ve been doing in the past couple of months.
That brings us to my title for this post — the link building strategy. The link love you’d get is priceless — much more than any schwag or gift bag you’d hope to take home with you.
So see you in many more meet-ups to come!
P.S.
Globe Innove has asked me to hook them up with bloggers from Visayas (Iloilo, Bacolod, Cebu) and Mindanao (Davao, CDO, Zamboanga) as they are also organizing similar events there. Leave a comment if you’re interested to join. =)

Thanks to my father who informed me on the topic
of this website, this webpage is really remarkable.
Hurrah! Finally I got a website from where I be able to really get helpful data regarding
my study and knowledge.
Jim tricked Dwight into thinking he got a walk-on part
on NCIS, so Dwight went to CA. Sexual excitement is good; sexual stress and anxiety is not.
He might even start wondering if you’ve got another guy in mind (or may have started dating someone
else already).
Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the pictures on this blog loading?
I’m trying to find out if its a problem on my end or
if it’s the blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
It’s very trouble-free to find out any matter on web as compared
to books, as I found this piece of writing at this site.

sana makasali me for the visayas area
Hmm.. Are Mindanoan/Visayan bloggers a rare species? Anyway, I am in Davao City. Hopefully others will follow suit.
They’ll be doing similar events down south too!
LOL @ Migs.
Hey, where the heck is the trackback URI for this entry…???
Who knows, the event was an audition for blog consultants.
Yes, the kwentuhan was priceless. Nakatipid ang Innove! :) Had they hired any one of us as “blogging consultants,” we would’ve probably each charged more than what they spent for the event! :P
ah yes gail, free lifetime wi-fi access would have been nice, but heck a jacket beats nothing and the beer of course, at 85-90 a pop I would have nursed 1 bottle the whole night if I was paying hehe.
yup i agree the kwentuhan was really something else, it would really be nice to arrange something again without having to divide us into two groups. imagine if they lumped us into one group, the globe people might not have had the chance to say anything.
call me materialistic, but really, i was expecting more than the kewl jacket and one month free wi-fi.
but then again… the kwentuhan was priceless! :D
For a first time meet, I thought the event was better than I expected. Getting the conversation started is always the hardest thing to do…
yeah, link loving galore!!
Ingat on the taiwan meet. Make us filipinos proud!
BTW, pa link nung pampanga post rin sa pampanga post mo. salamat.
anton
Nice assessment, so it wasn’t a waste on both parties after all… just different from expectations perhaps.
Glad to have meet you, Abe. I just wished na i heard your views during the meeting hehe. More power.
Good to see you there again too Abe.
Let’s organize some sort of meet up soon. No sponsors required naman, pwede dutch treat.
It’s really good to share insights among your peers.
Have a safe trip!
