We got an invite from Nokia Global to attend the launching of new devices in Abu Dhabi this October 22. Aside from the rumored Lumia 1520, 6 more devices will be announced in the event.
This was confirmed to me by one of the regional reps from Nokia last week during the local launch of the Lumia 1020.
The 7 devices will definitely include new Lumia smartphones, a Windows RT tablet (or probably two) and the rest could be Asha handsets.
We’ll definitely get you the details as we cover the entire event live in Abu Dhabi on the 22nd.
Good one for Nokia, but i hope they will be launching a new features that can make them different like what LG done with their LG G2. They have their rear key, audio zoom, 13mp OIS Camera and so much more. :)
yeah! agree for that!
Windows Phone is the obvious alternative to iOS and Android
@mj i disagree with you, siguro for ex. ung Ubuntu pede mo pang masabeng alternative sa android since mejo may pagkapareho cla pero ang windows marami siyang unique features na wala sa nabanggit na OS
imagine iOS in lumia phones, it’ like a pacquiao vs mayweather fight; too good to be true.
WP is, it is gaining traction, slowly by slowly.
maybe 1520 = 50 to 60 mega pixel camera hahahaa!
20MP lang yan haha
@Mr.
ah hahaha I’m just assuming that the higher the number in their lumia line, the higher the pixels are hahahaha. Oh well I guess no matter how good / great / cheap (maybe) / innovative nokia’s phone are, it will never reign again unless they invest in the app development area. everything in lumia phones are already good and great, from hardware to software, APPS NA LANG! NOKIA PLEASE! APPS NA LANG EH IBIGAY MO NA! HAHAHA
@Mr. Curious they’re now investing in app development, un nga lang mejo mabagal ung pagusad ng pagdevelop ng apps…well di naman ako after sa number of apps kahit sana unahin muna nila ung mga basic at popular apps saka na nila isunod ung mga walang kwenta hahaha
@wew: exactly. I just can’t seem to understand why can’t they see this problem. Their company is dying and they’re just plain blind overlooking at this issue. Well I don’t know, I’m not a tech savvy nor tech guru. maybe there are compatibility/technical issues? in creating these apps for wps?
i think nokia’s(or microsoft) really doing its best to suffice the lack of apps, tingin kolang ang problema eh ung mismong app developers na ayaw pa munang gumawa ng windows version since di pa ga ganun kapopular ang nasabing OS hahaha pero taon lang ang bibilangin nyan at mawawala ndin yang problema na yan =)
yup! hopefully one day they’ll be enlighten and shall the reign of nokia will once again dominate. Just a thought thou since the biggest competitor of iOS is indeed android, why don’t nokia and apple collaborate and create a lumia phone with iOS. or an open-source iOS hahaha
@mr curious, iOS will never be open source. Apple won’t and not. thats impossible
I’m looking forward to the new lumias.
i think lumia 1020 would be the best to choose minus the large screen of 1520 =)
Go Nokia!
I think that would be, Go Microsoft….
im referring to the brand of the phone, not to the company who owns it.
Die, Microsoft, die!
Ubuntu rocks!
They’re using Windows RT for their tablets? geeez
No doubt, it was windows rt. because, Nokia was bought by Microsoft for 7.2 billion dollar.
