About a dozen and half media people were invited here in South Korea today to visit several offices and plants by LG Electronics. We’ll be here for the rest of the week so expect a number of posts about our trip.
We’ll be touring and going around a lot so maybe I can squeeze in a few more posts than normal. I’m just checking my options if I can connect to their 3G networks here on top of the hotel WiFi.
Will also be sharing photos and HD videos of our trip and some inside look at LG’s factory and R&D facilities.
Check back soon for more entries about this trip. I’ve enabled global roaming on both my mobile numbers but they don’t see to work. Sorry if I can’t reply to SMS, just email.
Disclosure: LG Electronics sponsored this trip including accommodations, fares and daily stipend.

Wow, must be nice there. I saw your twit about this, and I twitted (half in jest)that an LG HDTV would be a nice prize for the next round of the Yugatech Give-away promo.

Can you tell them to stop calling their new models Borderless when in fact its not?
Abe Olandres says:
@jes – I was told the term Borderless is a branding used for the series of LED TVs. It does not refer to the type of frames used. That’s why they had a TM (trademark) added to it.
@clyde – I saw a lot of Motoroi here but never got the chance to play with one.
@briab – Seoul
@edgar – I will ask them! hehehe
Jes says:
@yuga — whatta SPIN! Bottomline, it’s still misleading. Shame on LG! (btw, thanks for asking them)
Paul says:
I recognize the hotel room you’re staying in. To confirm my hunch: do they have a branch in the Philippines?

Seems that you’ve been gone and back from ur Korean trip by this time but I would just like to mention that Korea uses CDMA (just don’t ask me what this stands for :D) and not GSM (like U.S. and in PH)in their mobile phones. Our GSM phones will not definitely work there. It can be a good idea to rent a mobile phone or just buy a call card when visiting ROK.
