Huawei believes that good things come in pairs, so aside from the P30 Pro, we also have the P30. This smartphone is for consumers who want the latest but don’t want to splurge on the more expensive “Pro” model. So if you’re thinking of getting this device, let us provide you with five of its best features.

Like the P30 Pro, the P30 also sports a premium build with a metal frame and a glass front and back. While the P30 Pro took inspiration from the Mate 20 series, the P30 is more like an upgrade to, and refinement of, the P20 Pro. The frame is rounded instead of tapered, but still nice to hold and comes in three colors: Breathing Crystal, Aurora, and Black. It also has an IP56 rating so it can withstand dust and water at a certain extent.
The P30 sports three cameras just like the P20 Pro. Some of the specs were retained like the 40MP primary camera and the 8MP optical zoom, but instead of having a B/W sensor, Huawei equipped it with a 16MP ultra wide, just like the one found on the Mate 20. Don’t just dwell on the number of pixels though, as the P30 boasts a Huawei SuperSpectrum sensor with low-light capabilities of up to ISO 204,800.
The P30 gets the same screen size as the P20 Pro at 6.1-inches. It has an OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080) or 422ppi. It sports a smaller notch like the Mate 20 for a more immersive viewing experience. If you’re fond of watching videos or playing games, the P30 can certainly deliver.
Powering the P30 Pro is the HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core chipset, Mali-G76 MP10 GPU, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It may not be in the same level as the P30 Pro, but that’s still flagship hardware right there and can handle photography and gaming.
The P30 may not have the same battery capacity as the P30 Pro, P20 Pro, or the Mate series, but it still received some improvement over the P20, so we’re expecting a longer battery life. As for charging, it still supports Huawei SuperCharge so you can replenish the battery without having to wait longer than usual.
