Epson develops core technologies to bolster B2B segment

In an annual media event held in Balesin Island in Polilio, Quezon Province, Epson Philippines showcased their technologies for enterprise and business segments to help the company gain market traction and achieve a leadership position.

Epson, a company known by consumers for their printers and projectors, is also focusing on the B2B segment and is developing its core technologies in what it says are the four key pillars of innovation – inkjet, visual communications, wearables, and robotics. With that in mind, Epson also unveiled its campaign for the business segment called “It’s in the Details”, which highlights the company’s approach to innovation and attention to details.

In line with the new campaign, Epson introduced new products which include the inkjet printers, projectors, point-of-sale printers, signage printers, digital textile printers, as well as smart glasses. Below are Epson’s new products to address the demands of business customers in varied segments:

Small Printers

Epson provides POS Printing Solutions for businesses so they can provide better customer and user experience. One example is the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (NONECO) which is a non-stock, non-profit electric cooperative, that is looking for a mobile printing solution to replace their existing mobile printer and help their meter readers in the data collection and printing of billing statements.

Inkjet for Business Printing

Epson boasts that their Micro Piezo inkjet technology is far more simple and superior over laser printing. It offers businesses with a lower total cost of ownership and power consumption, and fewer maintenance parts. One example is the Epson Workforce Pro WF-C869R which uses a Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS) and runs on Epson’s Software Solutions.

In addition to their business printing products, Epson also offers solutions for industrial and textile printing. One example is the SureColor F2130 which can print directly on the garment.

Visual Instruments

Epson is well-known when it comes to visual instruments and offers a wide range of projectors to meet customers needs whether it’s for Education or Corporate, Interactive, High-brightness, Large Venue or Staging, or Home Theater.

One of their most high-end solutions is the LightScene which uses a laser light source technology and 3LCD technology to project images on any items and surface, including glass.

Wearables

When it comes to wearables, Epson has the Moverio series which is available for the consumer and enterprise. These smart glasses are designed for personal, commercial, and industrial use to enhance the customer’s experience and help workers achieve design and engineering tasks.

Given the solutions presented, Epson is in a good position to help businesses provide their customers with a personalized, valuable, and real-time experiences.

“Epson’s obsession to details runs through everything we do. We believe that by taking care of the little details, we ensure to bring forth products developed solely from homegrown core technologies and devices,” said Eduardo Bonoan, Director of Marketing Division, Epson Philippines.

“What customers get from our products and solutions come from the details we put into them. Our obsession to details enables us to turn big ideas into reality. It also gave us the opportunity to expand our portfolio of innovative products, dedicated to making lives simpler and easier,” concluded Mr. Toshimitsu Tanaka, Managing Director (SE Asia), Epson Singapore and President & Country Manager, Epson Philippines
