With everything that is going on nowadays, it’s challenging to do these two things — staying focused at work and getting a good night’s sleep. So, we do what we can to cope. We use music, relaxation techniques, candles, inhalers, oils, and other stuff. Then we have these things called diffusers from HealthHack PH, which claims to help you stay productive at work or relax before going to bed. Check out our hands-on below.
The HealthHack PH diffusers have two models. One is called Focus, while the other is Dream, and comes in an attractive package in red and blue.
Slide the box out, and you will see a welcome card and the diffuser. If you noticed, the diffuser looks like an e-cigarette. That’s because you will use it like one.
On one end, you’ll see a small hole where you need to puff. On the other end is the LED light that activates whenever you make the puff. It’s red on the Focus and Blue on the Dream.
Using it is easy and doesn’t require any setup. Just remove the rubber cap and inhale, like you would on an e-cigarette. It could be mouth-to-lung or direct-lung, depending on what you prefer, then exhale through the nose. However, the two models differ in the suggested frequency of use.
For the Focus, 5 puffs are recommended, and you shouldn’t exceed more than 20 uses within the same hour since it wouldn’t increase the effectiveness. For the Dream, the instruction says to take 7 inhales before going to bed. First, inhale deeply through the mouth, hold your breath for 6-10 seconds, then exhale through the nose.
So, what are the ingredients you’re inhaling? HealthHack PH calls them “Blends.” For the Focus, it’s Roselle, Jasmine, Cinnamon, Sweet Fruit Flavor, Propylene Glycol, and Vegetable Glycerin. For the Dream, it’s Melatonin, Lavender, Chamomile, Sweet Fruit Flavor, Propylene Glycol, and Vegetable Glycerin. It’s almost similar to the ingredients found in some vape juices, especially the latter two to make the blend inhalable, but with herbs and hormones. You’ll also get 0.5mg per puff, and each stick is capable of up to 300 puffs.
As for the experience, it doesn’t produce a lot of vapor like your typical vape or e-cigarette, which is understandable since you’re after the effect and not the smoking/vaping experience. So, if you’re thinking of using this as a vape, this is not it.
The vapor is very light and doesn’t hurt the throat, while the flavors are nice and leave a subtle fruity or candy after-taste. Those who are not into smoking or vaping will like it.
When it comes to the effects, HealthHack PH says that the Focus promotes productivity and clarity and helps in creativity and concentration. We tried it during our work hours, but didn’t notice any drastic effect, although the inhaling and exhaling activity removed the sleepiness and provided some boost in concentration, which is what it claims to deliver, a “boost.”
For the Dream, HealthHack PH says that it promotes zen and sleep and helps improve the mood and destress. We followed the instructions, using it 30 minutes before going to sleep, and we felt relaxed afterward, probably because of the melatonin. As a result, we had a nice, uninterrupted sleep that night.
Checking HealthHack PH’s website doesn’t show any scientific documents proving its effectiveness. Although it said that it’s plant-based, vegan, and doesn’t have any nicotine. They also said that the blends are patent-pending and awaiting FDA approval.
The diffusers are priced at PHP 800USD 14INR 1,156EUR 13CNY 99 each but also available in bundles. The good news is, you’ll get a chance to try them by joining our giveaway.
