The OPPO A57  was launched last July, and we got to review the unit right away. With all the upgrades the brand has brought to the version, let’s find out whether the camera, performance, and battery life have gone down after a month for a budget phone.
Camera
To start, we’ve got the dual-rear camera on the OPPO A57 that has a 13MP, 26mm f/2.2 main camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 (depth). On the front, we have the 8MP f/2.0 for selfies and video calls.
After a month of video calls and photos, the camera still produces sharp images with a considerable amount of vibrance to it. Being an entry-level phone, the OPPO A57 performs considerably well in well-lit areas.
Performance
The OPPO A57Â is powered by a MediaTek MT6765G Helio G35 chipset and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
Although, running mainstream games like Call of Duty Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will run smoothly with a few tweaks to the graphics. If you’re a casual gamer, then gaming on the OPPO A57 should be enough for you but rest assured will run your essentials smoothly. Though, this is expected since the phone runs with only 4GB of RAM.Â
Battery
Lastly, one of the best features of the OPPO A57 is its long-lasting battery life thanks to its 5,000mAh battery. It lasts about two days on average use, and the 33W SUPERVOOC fast-charging really helps a lot to fill up the battery in around an hour and 30 minutes.
Getting through the day without the worry of charging is something a lot of people need to get through their busy days.
To wrap it all up, the OPPO A57 remains to be a compact alternative in the entry-level smartphone market thanks to its camera and battery life. As an average user, the OPPO A57 is a smart choice for a sub-10,000 phone. If you’re on the go and won’t be able to charge as often as you’d like, the version of the OPPO A57 is definitely for you.Â
The OPPO A57Â is available for PHP8,999USD 153INR 13,000EUR 146CNY 1,117 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and PHP10,999USD 187INR 15,889EUR 179CNY 1,365 for the 4GB + 128 GB variant. For availability, visit your nearest authorized dealers or check out their official Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok stores.
