After the successful launch of the Reno10 5G series back in August 2023, Oppo has just refreshed the year-old smartphone with the OPPO Reno11 5G series.
We’ve had some time to use it and today, we’re going to talk about what we like about the base model of the series, the OPPO Reno 11 5G.
Table of Contents
In our opinion, one of the OPPO Reno11’s greatest features is its camera system.
It’s got a triple-rear camera setup that’s headlined by a 50MP main sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), a 32MP telephoto sensor, and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
It’s able to capture shots with crisp and clear details in well-lit environments. Taking photos of landscapes show-off the colors well. No need to get a third party camera app on this guy.
Dubbed as the Portrait Expert, the Reno11’s Portrait Mode is able to recognize and highlight subjects, blurring the background behind them and adding a DLSR-like bokeh effect.
Selfie shots are very decent as well. It wasn’t too hard to navigate around the camera app’s interface and change the settings to what I would want. Color reproduction for skin tones are accurate as well so you can make sure that the skin tones of your subjects are as accurate to real life as it can get thanks to OPPO’s camera system.
Here are our sample shots for you to check out!
Next, its display.
The Reno11 has 1.57mm thin bezels all around the display and a 93% screen-to-body ratio. This means you can enjoy watching videos and going through media with its 6.7-inch OLED display.
It also gets a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, HDR10+ support, and stereo speakers. Add all those together and you’ve got yourself a wonderful and immersive viewing experience.
Keep in mind that higher volumes can lead to distortion in audio playback, leading to a loss in bass. With that said, the speakers are pretty loud and overall, great audio and viewing sessions are still achievable.
And did I mention that this guy’s got an in-display fingerprint sensor? This allows you to not only keep your data safe and secure, but also access the phone in almost an instant as it’s able to detect your prints swiftly!
When booting the Reno11 for the first time, it’s got ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 which has an overall easy user-interface to navigate around.
Besides features that you’d see in most Android phones like split screen and floating windows, one of the features that the Reno 11 has is the Smart Sidebar.
Ever need to check out a picture or calculate some numbers real quick? With the Reno11, OPPO has introduced the Smart Sidebar. This allows users to easily access different apps such as Photos and the Calculator and turn them into a Floating Window. You don’t need to swap from one app to another thanks to this feature
This also has File Dock that lets users drag something they want to save to the Dock, making it easier to access the file. It’s essentially pinning either a photo, file, or text that you want to the Smart Sidebar, allowing you to quickly get a peek of it. You’re also not limited to just one item in File Dock. You can store multiple files in this guy which makes it pretty convenient.
If you have other OPPO devices that support File Dock, you can sync them through your OPPO account.
That’s really nifty for users who need to access files on the fly with ease.
Another thing that the Reno11 has is the ability to scan screenshots taken which can allow you to grab particular elements that you need.
For instance, need this one paragraph in a screenshot? Simply allow the device to scan the image and it can then allow you to grab the item you need. It’s such a great thing to have when you just want a specific thing.
The Reno11’s got a 5,000mAh battery that’s able to handle my usual daily needs without much issue.
I used this guy for a few days and I rarely had the need to charge it. The smartphone was able to last more than a day of use when I handled it. I’ve used it to do my dailies in games, take a few photos, and go through social media.
It also has 67W SUPEVOOC charging support, allowing the device to charge from 20% to 100% in an hour!
That’s not bad especially with what you can do with the device!
With the OPPO Reno 11 5G’s price of 24,999 pesos for the 12GB + 512GB configuration, grabbing this guy as your new daily driver is a really decent choice. You get great camera sensors, a neat display, unique features, and a long lasting battery life!
If you’re someone who loves watching movies and taking photos and videos on your phone, then the Reno11 could be the one for you.
