If you’re in the market for a phone that will last for years to come without getting laggy and slow over time, then it’s probably best to get a phone with as much memory or RAM as you can.
Simply put, the more RAM you have, the smoother your phone will be when handling multiple tasks, the better the gameplay, and the longer it will last.
This is what most people call “Futureproofing” yourself by making sure you get more than adequate specs, so that down the line your phone still works smoothly.
Most phones today usually carry between 4 to 8 GB of RAM, and some will have more or less, but today we’ll be looking at phones with 16GB of RAM.
Table of Contents
Starting with ASUS’ ROG Phone 6 with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 5G processor and 512GB of storage.
It packs in a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate.
Its rear triple camera setup is headlined by a 50MP Sony main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide. Up front, we get a 12MP Sony camera.
There’s even a Diablo Immortal edition and Batman Edition available if you’re a fan of the game. But if you need even more RAM, there’s the ROG Phone 6 Pro 23 with 18GB of RAM.
The ROG Phone 6 is available in ROG’s official Lazada and Shopee stores for a retail price of PHP 54,995.
Similarly, another edition is available with the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. It also carries 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
It also carries the same display as the ROG Phone 6, the same camera setup, and even the same 6,000 mAh battery w/ 65W hypercharge.
What differs in it is the processor, as it now packs in the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which is a slightly superior processor.
But what’s also different is its price, as it now comes at a notably higher retail price of PHP 69,995 at ROG’s official Lazada and Shopee stores.
Although nubia isn’t as well known today, they pack some great value in their nubia REDMAGIC 7.
As it comes with 16GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
It also has a large 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate.
It also has a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main and 8MP ultrawide while also having an 8MP front camera.
But what’s great is that all that comes at just a retail price of PHP 42,999 at nubia REDMAGIC’s Shopee and Lazada stores. There are also models with either 12 or 18GB of memory if your needs call for more or less RAM.
If you want to step it up a little bit, there’s also the nubia REDMAGIC 7 Pro with the same 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor.
It also packs a similar 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a 960Hz touch sampling rate.
Its cameras are headlined by a 64MP main and an 8MP ultrawide, there’s also a 16MP front camera. But what’s pretty cool is that it’s an under-display camera meaning it has no notch or punch hole, giving you a phone that’s all display up front.
The nubia REDMAGIC 7 Pro is priced at PHP 43,299 for the 256GB configuration and Obsidian colorway while moving up to the 512GB model and Supernova colorway will run you PHP 48,599.
But if you want the latest of what nubia has to offer, there’s the recently released nubia REDMAGIC 8 Pro.
It now carries the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. On paper, this should mean better performance and better efficiency.
It also packs a similar 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. But now carries a larger 6,000 mAh battery compared to the 5,000 mAh battery on the previous REDMAGIC 7 Pro.
It also has a similar camera setup as the REGMAGIC 7 Pro with an under-display selfie camera and the only difference being its main camera is now only 50MP.
The nubia REDMAGIC 8 Pro is also priced a little higher with it being the latest iteration at PHP 53,999 for the 16GB+512GB configuration.
Next, we got the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. You may be wondering why not the latest S23 series. It’s simply because the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G was the last Samsung smartphone that came with 16GB of RAM.
But even in 2023, it still remains to be one of the most modern, premium, and powerful smartphones today. So if you don’t mind not having the latest smartphones, then maybe add it to your shortlist.
It packs in Samsung’s Exynos 2100 chipset and a 6.8-inch Edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a high resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
You also get a quad rear camera setup with a 108MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and a pair of 10MP telephoto lenses, while the front sees a 40MP selfie camera.
It does come at a steep retail price of PHP 79,990 for the 16GB+512GB model but being that it was released back in 2021, you can definitely find it heavily discounted to almost half its original price nowadays.
Last on the list, we also have one of the latest phones to be released, the OnePlus 11 5G.
It also comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, meaning it should give you a slight bump in performance and efficiency.
It also carries now carries the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor but only packs in 256GB of internal storage.
Its display is a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
The OnePlus 11 5G also has an impressive camera setup tuned by Hasselblad with a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide and 32MP telephoto lens at the rear.
Its design also differs from all the ones mentioned before as it leans more toward the more professional and premium look rather than a gamer design.
What’s more, is that it’s only priced at PHP 49,990 at OnePlus’ official Shopee store. This seems like a great value considering that it’s a premium flagship carrying some impressive specs and features.
So that’s our list of some of the latest smartphones you can get with 16GB of RAM. Did we miss out on anything? Let us know in the comments!
