How Forbes came up with the list

The Forbes World’s Billionaires list is a snapshot of wealth using stock prices and exchange rates. They list individuals rather than multigenerational families who share fortunes, though they include wealth belonging to a billionaire’s spouse and children if that person is the founder of the fortune. Forbes listed 2,668 billionaires around the world in 2022, down from the record high of 2,775 last year. In the Philippines, 22 billionaires were listed in 2021. The collective worth of listed billionaires worldwide is placed at USD 12.7 trillion, also down from USD 13.1 trillion in 2021. Elon Musk, now worth an estimated USD 219 billion, topped the Forbes list for the first time.

Among other rankers, Bloomberg also has their list of top 500 billionaires globally. Villar (258th, USD 8.69 billion) and Razon (440th, USD 5.95 billion) made it in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index as of 2022.
