Yes, it’s the start of the -Ber months. And that means Christmas is just a few months away which also means you can now prep your gadget wishlist. But before you do that, let’s have a recap of all the gadgets we reviewed last month which includes the Motorola Moto X, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Xiaomi Mi 4i, ASUS Zenpad S 8.0, Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, OnePlus 2, and ASUS Zenfone Selfie. Take a look at our Gadget Reviews Roundup for August 2015.

Full Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 LTE

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 LTE is a very functional tablet that is both good for work and play. It’s good for watching movies, reading e-books, sketching, quick MS Office work, and light gaming. Not to mention it’s also a phone with LTE connectivity so you can take calls, send messages, and use mobile data to keep you connected while on-the-go.

Lenovo Vibe Shot

The Lenovo Vibe Shot is a real looker with its sexy design, a capable and reliable smartphone for everyday usage, and comes with a good camera for your daily snaps — just don’t get your hopes up and expect to have something like a compact camera at your disposal.

Motorola Moto X

What the Moto X puts on the table is a flagship handset with the price of a mid-ranger device. With a suggested retail price of Php16,999, the Moto X is still within the price range of last year’s contemporaries. Despite the late entry, we still think the Moto X is a good buy.

Xiaomi Mi 4i

The Xiaomi Mi 4i is an Android flagship that offers a lot without breaking the consumers’ bank. It’s a got a great display, good performance, above average camera, dual-LTE connectivity, and a beefy battery. Although it features a plastic body, it is solid, attractive, and very well-made.

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro

The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is an attractive yet versatile Ultrabook that not only performs well but also offers something unique to its users. The multi-mode makes it stand out in terms of design as it allows the device to easily adapt to different situations and tasks.

ASUS ZenPad S 8.0

The ZenPad S 8.0 is, without a doubt, the best and more beautiful yet affordable Android tablet ASUS has ever made even beating the ones they made for the Google Nexus program in terms of design and performance.

ASUS ZenPad 7.0 (Z370CG)

The ASUS ZenPad 7.0 Z370CG has a very attractive physique that can be used on casual and professional occasions alike. Navigation was also smooth and so were jumping from app to app. We also recommend the tablet for sharing media and watching videos if you don’t mind the slightly dim display.

Starmobile UP Max

Starmobile’s intention with the UP Max is very clear – they want a smartphone that has an acceptable level of hardware yet with a battery life that can last longer than its competitors. It doesn’t have an impressive CPU, RAM, or design but it does have one of the biggest batteries in its class.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 (SM-T715)

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has everything you could probably ask for in a tablet: thin and lightweight profile, a powerful engine, and phone functionalities to top it all off. The smaller and lower resolution screen, not to mention the decrease in battery capacity, may be a drawback for some potential consumers, although it’s really not that significant of a drop-off in our opinion.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

The introduction of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is a vindication that Samsung is on the right track with their new design philosophy. Bigger screen real estate, more RAM and more battery capacity. The single biggest selling point of the S6 Edge+ is the dual-curve front glass panel. It is a huge differentiator in a market flooded with so many flagship smartphones trying to get your attention as well as your wallet’s.

Cherry Mobile G1

The Cherry Mobile G1 has been a reliable device based on the time we’ve spent with it. We didn’t encounter any major problems that were worth noting and in all honesty, it provided a smooth experience from the first time we took it out if its box all the way to when we placed it back in.

JBL Charge 2+

With the same design and sound quality we’ve come to know from the previous model, we feel that the JBL Charge 2+ is just an incremental upgrade from its predecessor. The addition of of its splash-proof design should come in handy for users who brings their portable speaker everywhere they go, and the best part here is that it didn’t add to the cost of the speaker.

OnePlus 2

The OnePlus 2 is a beast of a smartphone that features a good build and design and powerful hardware. The Snapdragon 810 CPU, 4GB RAM, beefier battery, dual-SIM connectivity, Fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, and Laser-guided autofocus, are great improvements from the OnePlus One.

LG Watch Urbane

I have no regrets getting the LG Watch Urbane. When I considered getting a wearable, a part of me knew I would regret it, but this smartwatch didn’t give me reasons to do so. I could have saved the money for some other things or spent it on more affordable smartwatches, but I’m glad I went for no compromise instead – it’s fashionable, it functions and performs quite well, and battery life is outstanding.

ASUS Zenfone Selfie

The ASUS Zenfone Selfie has almost all the things you love from the Zenfone 2, with the addition of a capable front camera and a laser autofocus at the back. You have dual-tone LEDs at both sides, making sure you have a good color for your images, and its Camera app is populated with features that should help you, however you want your shot to look like.
