Adventure farming RPG Stardew Valley will be getting a multiplayer mode, according to developer Chucklefish.
Stardew Valley’s multiplayer mode essentially allows you to play the entire game together with your friends. Shortly after the game begins, you can now set up three cabins, each controlled by a friend. Each friend acts as a farmhand, and can do nearly everything the main player can do, such as farm, mine, fight, fish, forage, marry NPC’s and take part in festivals. Each farmhand will also have their own inventory that the main player can manage. After receiving numerous requests from players, Chucklefish also wants to implement player-to-player marriage at some point.
The game studio expects to be able to start a beta test at the end of the year for Steam users. The full patch will then be released in early 2018 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. As for consoles, each platform will also be getting the patch, starting with the Nintendo Switch.

Old school graphics on modern computers. I thought we already graduated from that in the 1990s?
