Looking for new budget phones? We’ve got you covered.
In this article, we’re doing a rundown of the newest budget smartphones released in the Philippines during Q3 of 2024 — specifically priced under PHP 6,000.
So, without further ado, let’s dive right into the list.
DISCLAIMER: The smartphones featured in this list were officially released in the Philippines during Q3 2024 (July to September). Listed prices here reflect their suggested retail prices (SRP).

Starting off with the HONOR X6b, and while it doesn’t get the level of toughness that its higher siblings offer (like the HONOR X9b 26), you can still expect quite a strong build.
The phone does have a five-star overall drop resistance certification from SGS, Switzerland. This quality standard suggests that the phone should be able to withstand collisions even on its four corners… or so Honor claims at least.
Moving over to its specs, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage.
Its display is typical of a budget phone, sporting a 6.56-inch HD+ TFT LCD running at 90Hz refresh rate. And color me surprised, it also features a Dynamic Island feature (or at least close to it), the so-called ‘Magic Capsule’.
The rear looks like it has three cameras, but in actuality, there are only two: a 50-megapixel main shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In a way, the design looks very much like the new Xiaomi 14T Series because of that camera layout.
For biometrics, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. And as for battery, it packs a 5200mAh unit paired with 35W of charging rate.

Also rocking the MediaTek Helio G85 is Samsung’s new budget offering, the Galaxy A06.
It comes with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage. Flip to the front, it has a large 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD panel capped at 60Hz refresh rate.
The cameras, as you would’ve expected, are also a 50-megapixel main and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
On the side, there’s the power button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor, and its battery is rated at 5000mAh capacity and supports 25W of charging.

Next on this list is the TECNO Spark 30C.
Powering this device is a MediaTek Helio G81 chip configured with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage.
Its rear panel design is surely looking premium. But again, not all circles you see there are actual cameras. The phone has the staple 50-megapixel main shooter alongside an auxiliary lens.
The phone’s display is at least one of the better panels, sporting a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD running at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a punch hole notch too!
For biometrics security, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. And it does get an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Battery-wise, it packs a 5000mAh unit with a decent 18W charging.

Coming from Tecno’s sister brand is the itel P55+.
This is one of the few budget phones that I commend for a striking design language. I mean, just look at the phone’s back, especially the Royal Green colorway, featuring a two-tone finish made of vegan leather material.
Additionally, its camera island’s design isn’t as deceptive with only two rings to be seen here, housing a 50-megapixel main shooter and an AI lens.
Under the hood, the phone runs on the UNISOC T606 chip combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
It has a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel running at 90Hz refresh rate and there’s a hole punch notch too; a side-mounted fingerprint sensor; and a 5000mAh battery with 45W of charging.
Price: PHP 5,599 (8+256GB) | Shopee 17
itel also has its own A-Series line with the latest model being the itel A80. Its design it very much iPhone-ish too and there are different interesting colorways to look into.
As for specs, the phone runs on the UNISOC T603 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
Cameras are also the same and it features a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen; a side-mounted fingerprint sensor; and a 5000mAh battery with 10W of charging.
Price: PHP 4,199 (4+128GB) | Shopee 13
Next up is the only model in this list powered by a Qualcomm chipset. The OPPO A3x features a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 chip which is just a rebadged Snapdragon 662 from 2020 with slightly higher clock speeds. It now goes to 2.1GHz (from 2GHz) and has an improved Adreno GPU.
For config, it packs 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage.
At the front, it sports a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate and a hole punch notch. The back only sees a single 8-megapixel camera alongside a flicker sensor.
Of course, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP54 rating, and even a military-grade shock resistance (MIL-STD-810H). And it has a slightly bigger 5100mAh battery with 45W of charging.

For the very first time in a long while, Smart once again collaborates with ZTE offering one of the most affordable 5G phones ever: the ZTE Blade A75 5G, coming in at only PHP 5,450.
The only downside is it would be locked-in to a Smart SIM only. So, take note of that.
As for the specs, it features a UNISOC T760 chipset built on a 6-nanometer process. It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, however, one crucial letdown is the lack of a microSD card slot — which is probably a cost-cutting measure.
The phone’s design is a bit overkill, but it’s a decent approach to make it stand out. For optics, it has the usual 50-megapixel main sensor with 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel runs at 120Hz refresh rate; for biometrics, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor; and the battery is rated at 5000mAh capacity with 18W of charging.

The next several smartphones that I will talk about are all powered by UNISOC chipsets, starting with the vivo Y03t.
It runs on a UNISOC T612 SoC with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB expandable storage.
The display is a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate; the rear protrudes a 13-megapixel main shooter along with an auxiliary lens.
There’s no fingerprint sensor here but it does have a face unlock feature. For added protection, it offers an IP54 rating.
Battery-wise, it packs a 5000mAh unit with 15W of charging.
The vivo Y03t is priced at PHP 4,399 and PHP 4,999 for the 64GB and 128GB variants, respectively.

Next one is yet another phone that touts its improved durability. It features a so-called ArmorShell build making it more resistant to drops, bending, and scratches on top of an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Moving over to specs, the phone is also powered by the UNISOC T612 configured with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage.
It sports a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate. Its design is also serving minimalist looks which I kinda dig to be honest.
For optics, it comes with a 32-megapixel main shooter paired with an auxiliary lens.
There’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor here; and the battery is rated at the usual 5000mAh capacity with 10W of charging.
Price: PHP 4,999 (4+64GB) | Lazada, Shopee 11
Another one from Tecno is the Spark Go 1 carrying the lowest price tag in this list at only PHP 3,499.
It features the UNISOC T615 SoC, up to 4GB RAM, and up to 128GB of expandable storage.
Despite having the cheapest price, the phone still managed to offer a 120Hz display. That’s a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel and a hole punch notch as well.
The key areas where it cuts corners, though, are cameras and software. There’s only a single 13-megapixel primary camera here and the OS it runs is Android 14 Go Edition skinned with HiOS 14.
What’s even more impressive is the phone actually has an IP54 rating for the price. Battery-wise, the phone packs a 5000mAh unit with 15W of charging.
The TECNO Spark Go 1 starts at PHP 3,499 for the 3+64GB config and PHP 4,099 for the 4+128GB variant.

Last, but not the least is the POCO C61.
It runs on the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset with configs of up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage.
The 6.71-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel is sandwiched with a Gorilla Glass 3 for an added layer of protection. And it also runs at a 90Hz refresh rate.
As for cameras, it only gets a single 8-megapixel main shooter and an auxiliary lens.
Then, for biometrics, it has the usual side-mounted fingerprint sensor; a 5000mAh of battery and paired with 10W of charging.

That finally wraps up this list! But wait, there’s no Redmi 14? Well, Xiaomi did release the Redmi 14C recently, but it just came out this October, meaning it doesn’t fit our criteria — which is a smartphone released in Q3.
Anyways, might as well check that out on our website for more details about Xiaomi’s new budget offering.
