Billease announces launch of QRPh integration

Consumer finance app Billease has announced the launch of their integration with QRPh.

This was made possible through a partnership with Asia United Bank (AUB), providing Billease users with a seamless checkout experience. With this new feature, users can now scan any P2M QR code to pay for both online and offline purchases.

This added payment method also supports customers with Billease’s flexible installment plans. You can now opt to pay later or spend more with Billease’s Limit Boost.

The new feature also gives merchants and establishments access to a broader customer base that favors digital payments. The QRPh integration streamlines operations, speeds up transaction times, and reduces operational hassles coming with handling cash.

In addition, the integration aligns with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) objective of promoting digital payments nationwide. Despite the prevalence of digital transactions and wallets, cash remains a staple payment method in the Philippines.

By offering a modern alternative, Billease aims to bridge the gap while contributing to the development of a cashless society. This partnership adds to Billease’s existing collaborators like Alipay+, making it the first credit-focused fintech in the Philippines to do so.

The company is also available on major payment gateways in the region, inclusive of 2C2P, Xendit, PayMongo, and Paynamics. With over 10,000 directly and indirectly integrated online merchants, Billease offers a variety of services.

These include bill payments, cash loans, e-wallet top-ups, and gaming credits. The QRPh integration further expands customer access, allowing transactions at over 600,000 QRPh-accepting merchants and establishments in the Philippines.
