HONOR released its newest entry-level smartphones, the X5b and X5b Plus, silently. The devices, which are closely linked as their names imply, are sold in a number of Middle Eastern regions. The Plus was marginally improved by honor, but the similarities outweigh the differences.
The HONOR X5b and X5b Plus run Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0 on top and have an LTE-only Helio G36 processor. The screen is a simple 6.56″ LCD with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 720p resolution, and a waterdrop notch.
Around the rear, there is a 50 MP primary sensor on the Plus and only 13 MP on the vanilla, with a 0.8 MP secondary shooter next to the 5 MP selfie camera that is positioned inside the notch.
Both phones have a 5,200 mAh battery and are identical in size. The Honor X5b Plus costs SAR 399 (Php 6145.79), or about $106 (Php 6130.09), and has 4/128 GB of memory, while the Honor X5b has 4/64 GB of memory and costs about $80 (Php 4626.68).
