8 Top 5G Pocket WiFi available in the Philippines

Portable Pocket WiFis have become a popular alternative solution for many people who don’t have the luxury of a line connection like Fiber or Cable. With the rising demand for 5G devices, there’s no doubt that people are seeking 5G connectivity solutions.

This year, we’ve seen a lot of 5G smartphones that are now affordable, with brands like Infinix 38 and Tecno 13 providing budget 5G smartphones 34.

But there are people who don’t want to use their smartphones to tether their 5G connection for a long period of time, because, let’s face it, it may lessen the longevity and health of their device’s battery.

Now, if you’re one of those people who are looking for a dedicated 5G Pocket Wifi that you can bring anywhere, well, you’re in the right place.

In this post, we’ve listed down 5G Pocket WiFis that are available in the Philippines. And here’s a spoiler alert – you can now have one for less than 5k.

before the pandemic and this wfh setup came to most of the companies, pocket wifis were affordable but now it’s really expensive like I can buy a phone with that amount already. Too bad Hotspot is not a reliable backup for those working from home since it gets disconnected when it’s idle.

Curious, why get these expensive pocket WiFi when you can use your phone’s data as internet, and as a WiFi too when enabling local hotspot sharing. Aside from the phone battery draining faster, can’t see any other advantage of pocket WiFi. Having the phone to carry only one is also convenient. Genuinely curious, can answer, thanks!

1st yes battery life it can easily drain your phone when you hotspot it.
2nd Stable connection, most of the time when you hotspot it automatically disconnect your clients when idle this is to avoid excessive usage of data.
3rd Multiple Device connection, most smartphones have limited simultaneous connection ex. Laptop, then multiple smartphones and other stuff.
4th Flexible Data Usage Control, some smartphones don’t have advance settings to filter who is connecting and advance network features.
5th additional ports, ex ethernet port if you want to connect to a laptop having a wireless but connected to ethernet port is stable rather than pure wifi.
6th Security – you don’t want to expose your phone to public if there are any vulnerability you are prone to it.
7th Dedicated Device – as mentioned some people prefer a separate device for their Internet if they use multiple devices connecting.
8th – International travelers prefer this because it has better package in terms of connection. again roaming can be expensive even buying a dedicated sim internationally.
9th – some pocket wifi offer more frequency bands version smartphone that are region locked.
