HMD Pulse Plus now available in the Philippines via Shopee

The HMD Pulse Plus is now available in the Philippines exclusively on Shopee.

This phone offers a 6.56-inch display, powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset. It also offers end users 4GB of RAM, which can be doubled via virtual memory extension up to 4GB.

This Pulse+ also has 128GB of internal storage with expandable storage via microSD card. For cameras, the device has 50MP dual-rear AI cameras, an 8MP selfie shooter, and AI HDR enabled.

This phone packs a sizable 5,000mAh battery with 10W of charging support. Other features are inclusive of WiFi, Android 14, face unlock, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

There have been quite the sizable hype from the community over HMD on this one but the actual specs seem to be a darned letdown. I don’t think this would ever help them in establishing an actually good image in contrast to the rest of the competition.

Moving on, the entire trio is very underpowered. The camera, screen, and charging all leaves a lot to be desired (even with the 20W in the Pulse Pro). The HMD Vibe that is also coming over is not worth much of a talk.

Nonetheless, their repairability does seem quite well enough but doesn’t make a lot of sense with the paired specs. In my opinion, their approach would not be able to gather much praise here in Philippines where just about everyone eyes Transsion, Xiaomi, and BBK.
