OPPO Reno11 Pro: Our favorite features

If there’s one phone I enjoyed using last year, it’s the OPPO  Reno10 Pro. Now, its successor, the OPPO  Reno11 Pro, is finally here. Just like its predecessor, the Reno11 Pro lives up to my expectations. I’ve been using it for quite some time, and it’s been a great phone to use.

The OPPO Reno11 Pro now comes with a more powerful chipset and upgraded features, but retains everything we’ve come to like from the Reno10 Pro. To give you a better idea, I’ll be going through my favorite features of the new OPPO Reno11 Pro, and who knows, it might even convince you to get one for yourself.

Oppo Reno11 Pro Gaming

I. Improved Performance

The Oppo Reno11 Pro is now powered by a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8200 with 12GB of RAM. Our unit also comes with 512GB of internal storage, which is more than adequate for all the apps, games, photos, and videos you’ll be storing on this phone.

With the new Dimensity 8200 chipset, you get a lot more performance out of the Oppo Reno11 Pro. As a result, you can be more efficient in multitasking and even leaving multiple apps running in the background.

But perhaps the biggest advantage of the new chipset is when it comes to gaming. As you would expect, you can play the usual plethora of games like Mobile Legends, Asphalt 9, and CoD: Mobile without any issues.

However, its true colors shine with more intensive games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail since you can use better graphics without sacrificing gameplay. Overall, giving you a better and more immersive gaming experience.

II. Capture High-Quality Content

One feature I always liked about the Oppo Reno10 Pro was the cameras. On the Reno11 Pro, you get a similar triple rear camera setup, highlighted by a 50MP main shooter with a large 1/1.56-inch sensor accompanied by a 32MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide. As for the front camera, you get a 32MP shooter.

Like its predecessor, the Oppo Reno11 Pro captures stunning images, which are sharp and vibrant all around. Even when using zoom, you still get sharp images. There’s great bokeh as well without having to use portrait mode.

Oppo’s AI algorithm does a great job at enhancing the images, and as a result, they look neither flat nor over-edited. Even at night, the photos come out great, and you don’t necessarily have to use Night mode. You can even upload these photos directly to social media without the need to re-edit them in post.

Oppo Reno11 Pro Camera

In terms of video, the Oppo Reno11 Pro is now capable of capturing video at a maximum of 4K@60FPS, a bump from the previous 4K@30FPS of the Reno11 Pro. As a result, you get even smoother and more stunning footage, similar to what you’d expect when capturing photos. There are also a host of stability features to help shoot better content such as Ultra Steady mode to make your shot even better.

III. A Beautiful Display

Similar to the Oppo Reno10 Pro, the Oppo Reno11 Pro comes with a large 6.7-inch AMOLED curved screen. On paper, it appears to be a carry-over from the previous model since they seem to be almost identical in terms of specs. You get the same 950nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ colors. The screen is even protected by the same Asahi Glass AGC.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. I’ve always liked the display of the Oppo Reno10 Pro, and on the Reno11 Pro, it’s still great to look at. You get vivid, beautiful colors and deep blacks as expected from a 10-bit AMOLED screen. Like before, you can even adjust the color saturation and temperature to your preference.

With the 120Hz refresh rate, you get smooth animations when you’re playing games. It also makes watching videos and going through the menu a lot more enjoyable.

IV. Simple, Minimalist Design

Oppo didn’t change the design of the Reno11 Pro that much as compared to the Reno10 Pro. There’s still a beautiful, minimalist back panel, which looks subtle and great in this Rock Gray colorway.

Like before, the finish is relatively smudge and fingerprint-resistant. This makes it nice to use even without a case. Besides, you wouldn’t want to hide the phone’s styling with a case, would you?

The most obvious difference between its predecessor would be the new camera housing which features a revised lens layout. No more black contrast design, instead it’s all color-matched with the rest of the body.

But aside from the new colors and the camera housing, the only other visual change would be the position of the Oppo logo. As for the rest of the phone, you get the same placement of buttons, ports, and the like. So if you’ve used the Reno10 Pro, you’ll definitely feel right at home.

V. Affordable Pricing

With the new features and more powerful chipset, you’d expect the Oppo Reno11 Pro to be a lot more expensive than the Reno10 Pro. However, that’s not the case.

The Oppo Reno11 Pro 5G starts at PHP 31,999, making it only PHP 2,000 more expensive than its predecessor. At that price point, you already get a great camera capable of shooting 4K@60FPS video, a very capable chipset, and a phone that looks a lot more expensive than it is.

While there are other phones priced at around PHP 31,999, it’s hard to find one as well packaged as the Oppo Reno11 Pro.

Oppo Reno11 Pro (1)

So far, we like the Oppo Reno11 Pro a lot. The brand took a more evolutionary approach as compared to changing it up altogether. The result? You get a phone that looks and feels similar to its predecessor but packs more punch and features.

With that in mind, would you consider the Oppo Reno11 Pro? If you are, the phone is now on sale and you can order yours today. If you want something a bit more budget friendly, there’s also the standard Oppo Reno11, which you can also check out.
