The new ZTE Libero Flip is a Galaxy Z Flip doppelganger going on sale for just $420PHP 24,648INR 35,595EUR 400CNY 3,057 (₱23,500.42), even going as low as $265PHP 15,552INR 22,459EUR 252CNY 1,929 (₱14,827.64) on pre-orders.
The ZTE Libero Flip sports a 6.9-inch internal screen, 1.43-inch screen on the outer shell, and a 2790 x 1188 foldable OLED panel. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, coming with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
For other features, the device has a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth cam, and a 16MP selfie camera. The ZTE Libero Flip runs on Android 13, has a rating of IP42, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and charges up to 33W with USB Type-C.
Initial impressions surround the huge difference in pricing (in comparison to the Flip models), and slight changes in size and battery.
First, the ZTE Libero Flip only costs a fraction of how much Samsung charges for its latest Z Flip model. Next, its foldable panel is only slightly larger than Samsung’s variant. Lastly, the battery of the Libero Flip is slightly larger at 4,310mAh vs 3,700mAh.
But what prevents the budget-friendly foldable from becoming a full Galaxy Z Flip clone is the disc on the back. It has a round cover screen, which is used for widgets and as a selfie cam.
But to sum it up, the ZTE Libero Flip 80 is slightly bigger than the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
