Motorola has unveiled its 2024 iterations of the moto g 5G and moto g Power 5G. These new entry-level offerings are closely identical to their predecessors with only a few key differences.
For starters, the moto g 5G (2024) gets a new chipset, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, and a slight upgrade to its main camera. It now boasts a 50-megapixel sensor up from 48MP.
Meanwhile, the moto g Power 5G (2024) appears to retain the same chipset, albeit with a rebranding: the Dimensity 7020 (formerly Dimensity 930).
A significant improvement is the wired charging rate, which jumps from 15W to 30W. Another key addition is 15W wireless charging capability.
Both phones have slightly larger displays, but the bezels remain noticeably thick, especially at the chin.
