Globe Prepaid eSIM can now be purchased through the GlobeOne app. Priced at only Php 99, it comes with 5GB data allocation and unlimited all net texts valid for three days upon registration.
To purchase, simply launch the GlobeOne app, tap on ‘Life Essentials,’ and under the ‘Get a Globe Connection’ tab, select Prepaid eSIM.
You will be prompted to enter an email address. GCash and credit/debit card are available payment options. Once purchased, your email address will receive the QR code along with instructions to activate the eSIM.
Converting your existing number (physical SIM) to eSIM is not possible at the moment. Globe assigns a new number instead. A caveat though, it is single-use only as Globe says that if the eSIM is removed from the phone, you can’t install it again.
Furthermore, it appears that the option is currently available for iOS users only, since it’s not appearing yet for the Android app.
