Anbernic RG 406H handheld gaming device launching soon

The Anbernic RG 406H is launching soon in China on November 19, 2024. This is their latest retro handheld gaming device which can emulate titles from the Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii.

It has a 4-inch multi-touch IPS display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and HD resolution. Powering this is a UNISOC T820 chipset and Android 13 for its operating system. As such, it may also run games such as Genshin Impact and Honor of Kings.

For configurations, it comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. If users find this lacking, it also supports storage expansion via a microSD card slot. Connectivity-wise, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.

Ports include one for USB Type-C and 1080p Display Port output. It packs a hefty 5,000mAh battery as well. Controls include an RGB 3D hall joystick, D-pad, shoulder triggers, and a six-axis gyroscope sensor. It’s also fitted with a vibration motor for a bit of immersion.

The Anbernic RG 406H is expected to be priced between USD 150-200 (PHP 8,000-12,000). However, an official announcement has yet to be made. We’ll update readers when more details are available.
