The vivo V40 5G has arrived in the Philippines, succeeding the vivo V30 5G. One of its standout features is how it takes photos with its dual-rear camera configuration and selfie sensor. They are created in collaboration with ZEISS, an international leading tech company that works on optical systems.Â
The device is equipped with a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera, a 50MP ZEISS ultra wide-angle, and 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera at the front.Â
It should be safe to state that it has excellent photo-taking capabilities. We will thus examine the extent to which sensors have evolved compared to its predecessors.
One of the cameras that the vivo V40 5G is equipped with is a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera. It comes with a 1/1.56- inch Samsung ISOCELL GNJ sensor which allows you to take pictures in dim environments clearly. Users are able to take photos despite being in low-light conditions which gives clear night shots.
Additionally, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) lets users take their photos while also minimizing any shaky hand motions, reducing blur. This benefits users like me as it reduces the shakiness that my hands cause when taking photos.
If the vivo V40 5G can handle night photography, then you can imagine how it excels when taking pictures in well-lit environments. Along with its OIS main is the 50MP ZEISS ultra wide-angle camera that is 6.5 times higher of a pixel count than the usual 8MP wide-angle sensors. This can capture landscape and group shots with prominent details featured in every photo. You can be sure that your vivo V40 5G is a great camera to use when you want to take pictures with your family and friends.
The vivo V40 5G also has features like ZEISS Multifocal Portrait and ZEISS Style Portraits. The Multifocal Portrait incorporates portrait focal lengths to capture professional-looking portrait photos. Three lengths are available:Â
Meanwhile, the ZEISS Style Portraits gives users a unique bokeh characteristic, being able to capture the subject clearly while giving a unique look with ingeniously tuned color grading. Of course, if there is anything unwanted in the background, users can simply use the AI Erase feature to remove that.
The vivo V40 5G is equipped with the upgraded AI Aura Light which has a 33% increase in
Brightness compared to its predecessor. This provides light in dark environments for users to capture the subjects before them.
The V40 5G also debuts the AI 3D Studio Lighting. This utilizes AI algorithms to provide three-dimensional virtual fill light and 3D facial light analysis to assist users in taking natural portraits. Taking photos in any lighting is now made easier thanks to this, letting users capture their shots with ample lighting.
Finally, we can’t forget the vivo V40 5G’s front camera: the 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie camera. It has AI Facial Contouring Technology which works best in solo selfies, capturing users in sharp focus and producing a high-quality selfie. The sensor makes sure that the subjects stand out and in crisp detail while also cleaning the background behind them.Â
To sum it up, the vivo V40 5G is able to capture photographs with ease in any lighting scenario it faces thanks to ZEISS optics. Whether you are bright under the sun or under the moonlight, you can be sure that the V40 5G can capture the subjects in great detail.
