PLDT Fiber Prepaid is now available in the Philippines, quietly rolling out after numerous agents posted listings on Facebook. The internet speed should be up to 35Mbps, averaging 28Mbps, and has a minimum of 10.5Mbps with 80% service reliability.
The service requires an initial cashout of PHP 1,599, coming with 15 days of free unlimited fiber connection. In comparison to traditional internet subscriptions, PLDT only requires one (1) valid ID to provide this service with no lock-in period.
Since the service offers users a wired connection, it’s a more reliable alternative when compared to the wireless connections available. We would even say that this is a good backup for outage scenarios.
PLDT is offering three tiers to fit subscribers’ budgets, as seen below.
Item | Price |
---|---|
PLDT UNLI Fiber Prepaid for 7 days | PHP 299 |
PLDT UNLI Fiber Prepaid for 15 days | PHP 599 |
PLDT UNLI Fiber Prepaid for 30 days | PHP 999 |
After the first 15 days upon subscribing passes, users can reload anytime they would like. Again, this service does not hold users to a monthly commitment like the postpaid PLDT Fiber Plans.
PLDT also mentions how easy it is to do so. There are only a handful of steps, which can be done through their official website 1.2K.
Simply log in, go to Your Accounts, pick your PLDT Prepaid Fiber Account, and click Manage. From there, just click Buy Top Ups, Checkout, and settle the payment.
We’ll provide readers with more details about the services once PLDT announces this addition to their subscription suite. What do you guys think about PLDT Fiber Prepaid?
