Google’s AI-powered music generator MusicFX now features DJ mode 15. This lets users mix songs and beats in a brand new way.
MusicFX was launched in 2023, allowing users to make music just by providing text prompts. It was as simple as describing the mood, genre, instruments, or even the feeling you want to achieve with music.
This program mainly uses AI to generate a unique experience for music production. Now, the new DJ Mode feature transforms the tool into a digital mixing booth. The update lets users layer and mix multiple AI-generated tracks in real-time, making for dynamic compositions.
DJ mode enhances MusicFX in a number of ways. First, you can now develop complex compositions by layering up to ten different AI-generated tracks. Just type in your prompts for each layer, and MusicFX will generate music that complements each other.
This new tool has a mixer-style interface where users can easily adjust the volume of each layer to tinker around. You can even press the dice icon to make a random prompt for a layer if you’re undecided.
Let your creativity run free, even if you’re not feeling creative yourself.
Presently, the current version of DJ Mode doesn’t let users export their created tracks. For now, it’s an experimental tool where you can toy around. Likewise, Google seems to be exploring this tool further down the line.
Similarly, Google upgraded their VideoFX tool for AI-generated videos along with ImageFX, which produces images from Google’s DeepMind.
Google notes that “all of the content produced from VideoFX, ImageFX, and MusicFX is digitally watermarked with SynthID”.
