iPhone SE 4, new iPad Air to launch early 2025

Apple plans to introduce a new iPhone SE rocking Apple Intelligence by early next year. Likely tagging along are upgraded iPad Air models and an updated Magic Keyboard.

The report, courtesy of Mark Gurman, offers insights into the upcoming devices.

With the new iPhone SE model, Apple departs from the dated home button design and will shift to edge-to-edge screen. The last iPhone that sported the home button design was the iPhone SE 2022 model.

A previous report claim that the new iPhone SE will adopt a design akin to the regular iPhone 14. No dynamic island here, but rather the good ol’ notch, hinting FaceID support.

Additionally, Apple Intelligence, which is currently exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 16 Series, is expected to make its way to the new iPhone SE.

Gurman didn’t divulge specifics about the iPad Air but only said Apple will focus on “internal improvements”.

Furthermore, an updated Magic Keyboard for both the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air is expected, incorporating features previously seen on the latest iPad Pro version of the keyboard.

Historically, March and April have been the usual months for Apple to unveil new iPhone SE and iPad Air models. Whether these launches will take place via a virtual event or press releases remains to be seen.
