Funtouch OS 15 update announced with rollout timeline

The Funtouch OS 15 has been released by vivo along with its rollout timeline heading into 2025. This is vivo’s latest operating system and user interface update that will run on Android 15.

At the time of writing, the rollout has already begun for the vivo X100 Pro and vivo X Fold3 Pro. It’s currently available in India and Indonesia while the rest of the world and devices wait a bit longer.

The update will bring new features like AI Image Lab and S-Capture. It also has updates for their Ultra Game Mode.

S-Capture

AI Image Lab is used for erasing unwanted objects from images and upscaling photos from the Gallery app. Meanwhile, S-Capture lets users mark text and toggle the mic on and off while screen recording.

As for Ultra Game Mode, it now gives users the option to open apps directly. This is done through pop-up windows from the game mode sidebar.

Funtouch OS 15 Updated Call Backgrounds

Other than these, the latest update offers new icons and large folders in system themes. Plus, vivo is adding Immersive Wallpapers to make for more dynamic, personalized interfaces.

Speaking of personalization, users can now customize the call backgrounds in vivo’s Call app. Performance-wise, the update is slated to deliver 20% faster app startup response and a 40% improvement in memory compression.

Origin Animation from OriginOS is also coming to Funtouch OS 15 as well. This provides smooth, non-linear animations and adds a blur to your wallpaper when opening and closing apps.
