Google has just enhanced their Search app by integrating Sound Search for Google Play feature that allows the app to provide relevant results based on the rhythm it tuned in to.
Sound Search for Google Play works similarly to other third party app such as SoundHound and Shazam. For those of you who’ve not used such app, we suggest reading our SoundHound review here to give you an overview on how music discovery app works.
However, unlike SoundHound (or other Music Discovery app for that matter), Sound Search for Google Play is limited to Android users in the US and will only provide song results that are included on its extensive Google Play music library.
We hope that Google brings this feature out of their homeland in the future, but while we’re waiting for that to happen, you can always opt for other third party apps similar to it.
