Important notes:

  • Google Play will give you a 2-hour free trial period to decide if you want to keep your purchase or be refunded.
  • Refund after the 2-hour free trial period will be processed within 7 days.
  • No refund for in-app purchases.

We also monitored how much the whole transaction will cost us by doing a balance check before and after the purchase. The Fragment app by Pixite LLC costs Php87.20 but deducted Php97.66 from our prepaid load. That’s Php10.46 on top of the app’s asking price.

  1. FINALLY!!!

  2. By refund you mean we get the whole Php87.20 back?

    • most likely Php87.20 will be back on his purchase if you try to refund it, but the tax will not be refunded..

  3. Yes!!! Thanks Globe!!!

  4. Does Globe have plans to do this for post paid as well? Looks like this could be a useful feature.

    • the article says postpaid and prepaid credits but the title says prepaid credits only…

    • I already purchased something, postpaid user here, 500 pesos is the limit per billing cycle.

  5. Oh no, it’s not working for me.

  6. That’s 12% more than the actual cost, probably VAT. They also forgot to embed it on the purchase you show on your screenshot. Will the Globe and Google fix this?

  7. It’s not working. :/ There’s a lot of complications that could affect: 1. Because it’s a dual sim phone 2. Because I have a Tattoo SIM

    • how come dual sim interfere the transaction? as long you got your right # inputed on your google account I think It’ll do fine, the 2nd one might be the problem I guess. I’m not sure since I’m not planning to buy any product in google playstore since it’s pretty limited in terms of app selection.

  8. Pfft! Just use your credit card.

    • of course using your credit card is an option when purchasing apps. but the article is about “How to purchase apps on Google Play using your Globe prepaid credits” right? or are you just too kupal to put your comments into context?

      wag kang pabida.

    • @stupidpeoplehater: Paano naman ako naging “pabida/kupal”? Maraming nag-cocomment na nahihirapan sila with using Globe prepaid credits, that’s why I gave them another option to pay.

Ikaw, brad, may na-contribute ka ba? Wala. Instead, bashing ka kaagad (sa akin). Sino ngayon ang “pabida” at “kupal”? Deushe!

    • Ok na sana eh kaso”Deushe”. Haha

    • Thank you Justin a.k.a. Captain Obvious for your very obvious tip para sa mga nahihirapan gumamit nito. Oo nga noh, bat di namin naisip na gamitin credit card namen? Sobrang helpful ng tip mo grabe. Obviously, you made my day better Captain Obvious! Anlake ng contribution mo, kahit na alam na namin lahat yun!

    • It says invalid zip code and it wont give me type boxes for street, brgy, city and province. Anyone who’s having the same problem as this?

  9. “The Fragment app by Pixite LLC costs Php87.20 but deducted Php97.66 from our prepaid load. That’s Php10.46 on top of the app’s asking price.”

That’s an additional 12%, some sort of VAT?

    • Yeah its a VAT 12% thingy.

  10. Boom! May VAT! Hmmm
