Google has finally unveiled its very own social network which it calls Google+ (Google Plus) and it’s currently available as an Android App and on the Mobile Web with the iPhone App coming soon.
It’s something that can be considered an alternative to Facebook (pretty obvious ain’t it?). See this video demo to get familiarized with the social network:
Problem though is that you can’t search it in the Android Market or even if you go straight to the link, you get this message:
Google+ (Google Plus) is still in active development and not yet available to everyone. You need an invitation to sign in.
So okay, they announce something that you can’t easily join and posted an App you can’t download. Now that’s a bummer.
You can try to download the app here (if you can).

England’s World Cup ended in a mixture of humiliation and controversy as they
had been thrashed by Germany in Bloemfontein
The New Zealand striker regarded significantly offside but was
nerveless in prodding his twentieth objective in 37 internationals past Federico Marchetti, who was deputising for Italy’s injured first-selection keeper Gianluigi Buffon. The holders almost
hit back instantly but All Whites goalkeeper Mark Paston clawed out a dangerously bouncing Riccardo

try and achieve an advantage – Cannavaro accusing Rory Fallon of utilizing his elbow
after another sturdy challenge within the air for which the Plymouth striker
was booked. Cavani’s six in qualifying supplemented
strike partner Suarez and his efforts nicely. Stats Summary:

Social is starting to weigh more into Google’s search algorithms, so yeah the +1 button will do you good.
Besides, estimates put Google+ users at 10 million now and it’s growing really fast. I am already seeing a lot of my FB contacts popping into G+!
Entrepreneur says:
How about Google +1? are we ready for it? because Google + is not yet open to the public specially in the Philippines so do you think putting the code in our blog will be beneficial to us?
Ryan says:

If you cannot find this app in the android market i suggest you download marketenabler first.
once installed it to T-mobile USA
then try to download the app.
you can use this trick for apps not available here in the philippines like the new google maps.
you can easily uninstall marketenabler after you got all the apps you need
hehe
Paul says:
oops a little typo
after downloading and installing market enabler
set it to t-mobile usa
with this done you can be able to download the apps not available for the Philippines.

Looks good! Facebook suddenly looked like MySpace/Friendster. Hehe.
Here’s the link for the future web app: http://www.google.com/+
It’s cool that they already have it in Filipino. Mukhang ma-open na rin sa atin ito soon. :D

e30ernest says:
The service is unfortunately on a private beta with limited invites and territories. The Philippines is sadly not included.
I can’t wait to try out the service! I left Friendster because it got too cluttered with spam for Multiply. That site also later got cluttered so I moved to Facebook, which is now going that same route.
Google+ seems to have this issue addressed with Circles.
J says:
I can see the install button on the linked webpage but it tells me that my account is not associated with any android device. Which is the case.
Is this the same for everyone (the presence of the install button)? Or does it mean I can join if only I had an android?
jdGONEMAD says:
so, if it were to be available in pc/laptop web browsers, will companies add Google to their blocked sites for social media???
Kei says:
This looks interesting. hope they have already learned from the failed buzz and wave.
kesterbt says:
It is currently not available in the Philippines.
Fleeb says:
That’s the mobile app.
