When buying a laptop, budget is mainly the most important thing that comes to mind, way more important than processors, memory, storage, or even the brand itself. This is more prevalent these days especially with things becoming more expensive with rising inflation. Getting a quality laptop that can serve you well for years to come is the most important thing to consider.

The Php40,000 price range is a great place to start as you’ll generally see a lot of great mid-range laptops. This means laptops in this price range won’t simply give you a headache for being too slow or leave you scratching your head for being too expensive. So to get the best bang for your buck laptop, we’ve gathered a list of the best laptops you can find right now at just under Php 40k. Let’s get to it!
To kick off the list, we have a great productivity laptop from realme. That in part is thanks to the realme Book 13’s screen. As it’s not the 16:9 display we traditionally see that is more wide than tall. Instead, it comes with a 3:2 aspect ratio for extra screen real estate height-wise.
This makes it perfect for browsing the web or working on documents and spreadsheets as you have that extra height vertically. Not to mention that it’s also a 14-inch 2K Ultra HD panel. The realme Book also comes with an Intel Core i3-1115G4, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. The cherry on top is that it also has an elegant design that comes in either silver or blue.

Dell has always been known to create great laptops from their XPS line and even their Alienware gaming laptops. But if you’re in the hopes of not leaving your bank account crying and yet want a stylish and elegant looking ultrabook from Dell. Then maybe you’d want to consider the Inspiron 14.
The Inspiron 14 comes in either Platinum Silver or Peach Dust colorways, which give off a premium taste. You also get a Ryzen 5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The Inspiron 14 is perfect for those who want a no-nonsense, stylish laptop that you can take to the office.
Shopee 15 – 35,990
Next up we got the Acer Swift 3 with a AMD’s Ryzen 5, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. You can expect the Acer Swift 3 to be a great performer as many have hailed it as one of the best budget laptops in recent years.
Just don’t look towards getting the Acer Swift 3 if you need it for precise colorwork, as it doesn’t come with the best display for that purpose. But overall, if you’re looking for an ultraportable laptop to take to school and still give you enough juice to do some light gaming here and there. Then the Acer Swift 3 is surely a great buy.

Ever wanted a Surface Pro but wished it was just a little more affordable? The great news is that ASUS has just recently released the Vivobook Slate 13. It being a convertible tablet allows you to flexibly use it as a laptop or as a tablet with its detachable kickstand. It also comes with one of the best panels you’ll see on a 2-in-1 tablet with a gorgeous 13-inch OLED panel. This means you get vivid colors and higher contrast ratios for an amazing watching experience.
For the price, you’ll be getting an Intel Pentium, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of EMMC storage. Not the most impressive specs in the world but do note that you’re also getting the detachable kickstand, keyboard, and even stylus. This makes the Vivobook Slate 13 the perfect device for media consumption and some light work here and there.

ASUS being a reputable and reliable brand over the years, we decided to add in another one from ASUS, or rather 3 more from ASUS. As we got three ASUS Vivobooks under 40k that are worth every penny.
First, we have the Vivobook 14 M413. It comes with a 14-inch FHD display, a Ryzen 5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Then you have the ASUS Vivobook 15 M513, and as you can guess, it’s simply the larger sibling to the former. It comes with the same specs with the exception of being able to spec it with a Ryzen 7 processor or have the option to outfit it with a 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD combo, depending on which vairant you choose.
Lastly, is the Vivobook 15 OLED K513. As the name implies, this version comes with an OLED panel for those who want vivid displays for precise colorwork. The other difference being that it would come with a lower-tier Intel Core i3 processor instead of the Ryzen chips found on the FHD models. But whichever Vivobook you choose, you can be sure to get a pretty great experience for the money and be sure to keep it for a long time.
ASUS Vivobook 14 M413 14 – 34,995

It’s not every day you get to see a pro model laptop below 40k. But the world’s changed and now we got the Inbook X1 Pro by Infinix. Being a pro model, you can expect some of the best specs.
The Inbook X1 Pro comes with a 14-inch FHD display, Intel Core i7-1065G7, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of PCIe storage. Now I’d say that’s great value for money. If you also want to spice things up, you can get it in Noble Red and Elves Green colorways. Or if you want to keep the muted, sleek design, there’s also Starfall Grey.
Shopee 18 – 34,699
If you’re in the market for a no-frills laptop that can simply get the job done, then HP has you covered with their 15s-EQ2158AU, quite a mouthful yes. Wrapping up the list, we saved what may be the best bang for the buck laptop at this price range. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 is hailed as one of the best budget-friendly laptops one can buy. As it comes with a Ryzen 5 5500U processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.
Especially Lenovo being a household name, those specs are simply out of this world for this price point. This ensures that you’ll have enough power, memory, and storage for pretty much any workload without it stuttering or slowing down. What’s also great is that it comes in either 14 or 15-inch sizes for those who either want a bigger screen or a smaller profile.
