With the high need for personal protection, technological upgrade on masks is really essential these days. It could also be one of our weapons for battling against the spread of the world’s #1 rival today which is the coronavirus. ViriMASK

The ViriMASK has the features of filtering retain inhaled and exhaled particles and microbes larger than 0.1 micron (like COVID-19) and protecting both the wearer and the environment. With this filter retention, the ViriMASK does not have an exhalation valve which prevents the spread of the virus. However, it is completely covered to outside air penetration. LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier

LG has recently launched its dual-purpose innovation which is both a face mask and an air purifier, the LG Puricare Wearable Air Purifier. This has two H13 HEPA filters, dual fans, and patented respiratory sensors for filtering air and detecting the volume of the wearer’s breath with adjustable dual three-speed fans. Moreover, the charging case for the wearable has UV-LED lights that kill harmful germs and sanitize it when not in use. LG will exhibit the PuriCare Wearable in the IFA 2020 where it might release the details about its pricing and availability.

Philips-BLAISE Nxt Gen Breathable Mask

This breathable mask is powered by the Japanese NIDE Technology which has a fan airflow rate that produces up to 41L per minute. It sports a motor power and air-fluid dynamics design to reduce the exhalation resistance and improve breathing comfort. Additionally, this also has 4 layers of filtration which removes up to 95% PM2.5 dust and bacteria and 3 levels of fan speed for comfortable breathing. This high-tech mask also has a filter-to-shell lock and magnetic battery module-to-shell attachment, as well as a replaceable N95 mask filter. It comes with a free PL006 UVC wand and an air EON Airtech purifier. The Blaise NXT Gen breathable mask is priced at PHP 10,995 and can be purchased online through the ProLabs PH website.

AO AIR ATMOS

The AO AIR features ATMOS which has up to 50x better filtering mask. It has a pre-filter that has the power to remove the largest particulates and an active Nano-filter for protection against fine dust particles, pollen, and ash. With this mask, you may breathe freely with no seal around the mouth and nose area. It also sports fans for breathing and can provide up to 240I per minute of clean air. It is packed with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery providing 5hrs+ protection. The Atmos is priced at USD 350 and can be purchased with free shipping in the US and Korea.

R-PUR Anti-Pollution Patented Mask

R-PUR has a collection of different masks made ideally for walking or running, biking and motorcycling. This Nano mask has its 5 filter layers for filtering outgases, odors, pollen, bacteria, virus, fine/diesel particles and toxic particles linked to air pollution. Along with this mask is its technological feature of tracking the wear of your filter and when to replace it. Its filter has an individual certificate to ensure its authenticity through a QR verification process using its mobile app (Android/IOS). Its price starts at USD 129 up to USD 149 and can be purchased through the R-PUR website.

UM UVMASK

It features an air purification and anti-pollution breathing face mask with a powerful UV-C purification technology. CLIU MASK

Another transparent mask on the list is the Cliu Mask. This isn’t just an ordinary mask as it is made as a new technological way to adapt to the new normal. It features a magnetic clasp, UV mask disinfection sterilizer, anti-fog system, and protection against viruses, pollution, and pollen made possible with a system of interchangeable active carbon filters. It is also lightweight and flexible. Moreover, it has built-in integrated technology and features a microphone, accelerometer, and Bluetooth connectivity that may be used along with its dedicated mobile app. It also provides real-time information about the virus. C-FACE SMART MASK

The C-Face Smart Mask was developed by Donut Robotics. Named as a “smart” mask, this mask can be connected to a smartphone through an app. It features a capability to transcribe speech into texts through the app. Its purpose is to maintain a “social distance” between people. The speech can be translated into eight languages with accurate translation technology. This mask will also be equipped with a Wi-Fi router. This smart mask is priced at JPY 3980 with tax and will be released in Japan on January 2021.
