Whether you’re hunting for your first job or already in the workforce, one of your biggest responsibilities is paying bills. Not just your regular utility bills but government, like SSS, BIR, PAG-IBIG, and PRC. The thought of doing those already sounds like a chore, but not if you can conveniently do it anywhere with your phone or computer. How? Well, that’s where PayMaya comes in.
If you’ve been using PayMaya for a while now, then you know that you can use this e-wallet to send money between PayMaya accounts, send money to banks, buy load, and pay bills. But you can also use it to pay for government fees and dues. And the cherry on top is that you can earn cashback that is directly credited to your PayMaya account every time you pay. So that’s added savings for you!
PayMaya features SSS, BIR, PAG-IBIG, PRC, DTI, DFA, MMDA, NBI, NHMFC, and NSO. But for this, we’re going to focus on the first four and how you can conveniently pay and at the same time enjoy a cashback.
Table of Contents
Let’s start with the country’s private sector pension fund, Social Security System, or SSS. Make sure that you already have a Social Security Number and have registered online. If not, click this link to know how to apply.
For this you will be needing the SSS Mobile App then follow these steps:
1) Log in to your SSS account then tap on “Generate PRN/SOA” button. Make sure to input all the necessary details, and select the PRN for payment.
2) Next, tap “Pay” and select “Pay With PayMaya.”
3) Input your PayMaya-registered mobile number, password, and OTP. (Make sure not to share your OTP with anyone.)
4) Verify the payment, confirm it, and you will receive your payment details and reference number.
5) Lastly, just tap the Actual Premium button to check if payment was successful.
Alternatively, you can also pay using the PayMaya app by going to Maya Mall –> Government –> or the Pay Bills –> Government –> SSS Tile.
For PAG-IBIG, you will need to access its website at https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/ then follow the steps:
1) Log in to the PAG-IBIG website and select “E-Services”
2) Select “online payment facilities” under OTHER services and provide your payment details.
3) Enter the CAPTCHA code and agree on the terms and conditions. You will then click on “PROCEED” to confirm payment details.
4) Select “PayMaya” and encode the registered mobile number and PIN. Click “Ok” to proceed.
For the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), you can pay for transactions like exam applications. When the website prompts for payment, just follow these steps.
1) Upon prompting for payment, select the “Pay by PayMaya” option.
2) You will then receive a transaction summary, then just click on “SUBMIT” to proceed.
3) Input your mobile number, email address, and password, then click on “Log In.”
4) Select Pay using your PayMaya Wallet.
Need to make payments to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)? You can do so straight from the PayMaya app under Bills Pay feature.
1) Log in to your PayMaya account then tap on “Pay Bills.”
2) Select BIR from the list of billers.
3) Input your personal information then press tap on “Continue.”
4) Verify the information through a confirmation page then press “PAY“.
5) You will then receive confirmation through the app, SMS, and email when the transaction pushes through.
Alternatively, you can also pay via Maya Mall in the PayMaya app. Just go to Maya Mall –> Government –> BIR.

And there you go. It’s actually cool to know that nowadays, we no longer have to commute to government agencies or wait for hours-long in line to settle our government fees. We can easily pay for these government transactions online with just a few taps and clicks on our smartphones or laptops/PCs. Back in the day, there are no discounts, but now you can even earn credits if you’re paying regularly through PayMaya. You can even earn cashback vouchers to pay for other bills or to shop for items online. Just keep using PayMaya.
