Not everyone might have the luxury nor the time time to going to a mall to find a product they’re looking for. So for the people who need to shopping online, we’ve compiled a list of online malls and stores that you may safely buy smartphones from. These online malls either have brands’ official stores, are official distributors, or offer excellent warranties and return policies so you’ll feel safe when making the purchase.
Author’s note: Before we kick off with our list though, while we recommend these online platforms, it’s also important to note that buying from a legitimate physical store is still our primary recommendation. You get to test everything about the device, inquire more about warranties, and you get to experience the phone first hand before purchasing.Â
Starting with the most popular online mall, Lazada has official or flagship stores available on their platform. If no official or flagship stores are offering the products you want, there are also official distributors like Silicon Valley, Digital Walker or Lazada Mall stores, which guarantee that the items being sold are brand new and original.
They also have a seven or 15-day easy return policy for defective items. Official stores also offer at least 1-year manufacturer’s warranty so that you could have your devices fixed should any accidents happen. They accept payments from Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and American Express accredited credit cards, Lazada wallet balance, and cash on delivery.
Similar to Lazada, Shopee has a lot of official and flagship stores on its platform. They also have a Shopee Mall, which guarantees all items sold are authentic, with a 7-day easy return policy and free shipping.
Shopee also accepts the most payment options than any other online mall/store on this list:
Argomall originally started as a place where shoppers can buy authentic smartphones. Fast forward to 2020, they’re now one of the most trusted online stores, with ties to both brands and various payment processing companies. All of the items sold on their site are brand new and original coming straight from the manufacturer. What’s great about their platform is the comparison tab, where buyers can easily see the differences between two or more smartphones they may be considering. By reviewing the spec sheet of your prospect phones may help you make a better purchase decision. They’ve also expanded their catalog from just smartphones to include a variety of electronic devices such as TVs, laptops, audio devices, and more.
Items purchased on Argomall are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and buyers may also return items within seven days of purchase. Unlike Lazada or Shopee, Argomall accepts returns if the customer is simply not satisfied with the smartphone they got. Argomall will issue a refund within 14 days for either cash or Argomall vouchers.
If they don’t have stock of the device you’re buying, they’ll redirect you to other well-known stores such as Abenson to complete your purchase. Argomall accepts cash on delivery, Dragonpay, and online Home Credit Installment applications on their website so customers can issue deferred payments of up to 24 months.
Abenson has been a long time appliance distributor in the country and has, in recent years, started accepting online purchases through its website. As a big player with a lot of retail stores, customers are sure that they’re getting brand new, all authentic products when purchasing from Abenson. They offer a wide variety of products, including appliances, gadgets, audio devices, personal computers, and more.
Abenson typically offers a store warranty on top of the manufacturer’s warranty. All online purchases are also eligible for a 7-day return policy for defective items; however, the buyer will handle the shipping costs. As for payment options, Abenson accepts Visa/Master Card, PayPal, Cash on Delivery, BDO Installment, BDO-AMEX, JCB, and OTC Deposits.
MemoXpress is another trusted Philippine distributor of electronics. They have more than 300 branches nationwide, and they’re also present in other online malls like Lazada. They also sell online through their website and adhere to brands’ exclusive sales and promotions. All items on their website are brand new and original too, and all purchases are entitled to receive the manufacturer’s warranty.
Memoxpress has several payment options, such as:
Lastly, Villman is another long-time distributor of electronics focused around computers and laptops, but they also carry smartphones and other gadgets in their catalog. While their site may not look as modern as the others, they’re still a reliable source of brand new and original products.
Buyers may go to any one of Villman’s branches 12 to pre-pay for the smartphone they want or pay via cash deposit to BPI, BDO, or Chinabank. All items purchased from Villman are entitled to the 7-day return policy for defective products on top of the manufacturer’s warranty. However, it is important to note that most laptop warranties should be enrolled online within a certain time frame upon purchase, so don’t forget to sign up to the manufacturer’s site to claim it.
