Realme is coming in 2024 with their latest flagship series: the realme 12+ lineup.
In this article, we are going to check out what is new with the realme 12+.
Luxury watch designer Ollivier Savéo co-designed the realme 12+ so you know you are going to get a sweet looking phone. This is the same mind that’s behind watch designs from Rolex.
Instead of what we’re used to with cameras at the side, the camera island here is positioned at the middle. It has a gold bezel around it and you might think it has four sensors, but in reality, it’s a triple-camera setup.
Besides this, it has a premium vegan leather back design. Our unit is the Pioneer Green colorway, but there’s also the Navigator Beige option. So, if you want a splash of color on your phones, you can’t go wrong with this guy.
We get a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers, dual nanoSIM card tray, and one of the dual stereo speakers at the bottom.
Situated at the right side are its volume rocker and power button and up top we have another speaker and a 3.5mm audio jack which is not a common sight these days.
The phone’s not too heavy and is quite thin too. It’s able to slide right in your pockets well and I had no trouble using it with just one hand.
The realme 12+ sports a 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a 92.65% screen-to-body ratio. It’s also got up to 4,096 levels of brightness.
The realme 12+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset that is coupled with its octa-core CPU clocking up to 2.6GHz and an ARM Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.
You also have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, but there is an 8GB variant. RAM can be extended up to 12GB, giving you 24GB of total RAM thanks to Dynamic RAM Extension.
For cameras, we have a triple rear camera setup at the back that consists of a 50MP SonyLYT600 main sensor with an aperture of f/1.88, an 8MP 112° Wide Angle camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and lastly we have a 2MP macro sensor. Up front, we get a 16MP selfie camera.
You can be the judge of it though. Here are our sample shots!
In terms of software, you get realme UI 50 out of the box, which is based on Android 14. It’s not too difficult to go from Android 13 to this since it feels like your typical Android devices.
You have your usual features like split screen, smart sidebar, and floating windows.
The realme 12+ comes with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM with 256GB of internal memory.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the price of this device as of writing.
At its core, the realme 12+ aims to offer a well-rounded experience with a decent viewing experience, great cameras and a good battery performance.
Stay tune for the official launch on March 7, 6PM at realme’s social media channels for the unveiling of the price and other features. also, for our full review.

That’s not their flagship line, but mid range. The flagship is their GT line, as you can tell by the chipsets they use.
