Infinix NOTE 50 Pro Review
Globe is giving Bayantel subscribers a free upgrade to their fiber network. This offer encourages old or existing subscribers to move to the Globe network by giving them faster internet for the same broadband plan they’re currently paying with Bayantel.
UPDATE (8/10/2017 – 3:20PM): We received clarification that the promo is only for Bayan customers in Quezon City for now. They can upgrade for free with no additional fees, lockup will not be refreshed, but just continued. (Subject to serviceability. Agents are tasked to check before confirming upgrade.
The new broadband plan will not be locked refreshed, which means the lock-in period will not be extended to another 24 months from the upgrade and they will remain with their old contracts.
In December 2012, Globe effectively took over the operations of BayanTel although they continue to service the existing customers using the old network. This promotion will hopefully help get subscribers to move from the old network into Globe’s fiber network.
That’s all the info we have for now. We’ve reached out to Globe for more details and update this article once we get them.

You’ve had really sloppy writing lately. Take this article for instance. It’s helpful only as far as informing us about the existence of the promo. There’s no link to any site for more information, nor is there any evidence that research was done at all prior to publication.. There’s also a picture that would have been more helpful had it been accompanied by a caption telling readers where and when it was taken. Please be more considerate to readers and your advertisers as well. You have a great thing going here, and I do love your posts (to a certain degree). It’s time to take this a little more seriously…

Do not fall for this trap. Pag nag change kayo dito magkakaroon kayo ng data allowance/ cap. I prefer my existing Bayantel, kahit 3mbps lang wlang data cap.
If you really want to upgrade to a higher speed, I recommend PLDT may 50% off for 6 months at wla pang data monthly restriction.

switched from bayantel.. transferred to pldtdsl. 3mbps, unli. 3yrs lock-in with first 12mons 50% off regular rate. saved 7800 pesos on the first year. payed 3900 pre-termination fee. now. i’m switching to SkyCable Lite Plan 999. 8mbps, 40mb cap/month, limited cable channel. will upgrade to unli if needed or switch to fiber once available.

Do not upgrade to globe fiber from bayantel. Pangit ang connection ng fiber, may data capping, 10GB/day lang sabi ng customer service. Walang kwenta sa 1st day lang maayus speed.

Totoo ba? Natawagan kami eh na “we were chosen daw for free upgrade” gawing upto 3mbps with no data, which I tried to confirm. oo naman daw. Mas mura nga lang kasi siya 999 na lang yung plan tas free na lahat. Umoo na lang ako. Di na rin naman masyado kami mainternet sa bahay.Try na lang. :l
