Converge issued clarifications on the possible partnership with SpaceX for Starlink satellite internet service, in response to news reports published by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Bilyonaryo, over the weekend.
In a letter sent to the SEC, Converge said that the company is always looking for new technologies to bring high-speed internet services to the broadest number of Filipinos.
The company also said that the latest satellite technologies, including that of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX), are among the new technologies being explored by Converge to bring high-speed broadband to far-flung areas in the country.
However, Converge said that it is still very premature to talk about a possible partnership between Converge and SpaceX at this stage.
