Globe and bolttech launches Gadget Xchange

Globe, the leading telecommunications service provider and digital solutions platform in the Philippines, has collaborated with international insurtech bolttech to launch Gadget Xchange, a new mobile device program that will make postpaid device switching easier.

The program offers greater choice and flexibility with quick and easy mobile device and screen replacement services, as well as the ability to switch between different device brands, styles, and colors with ease.

Customers of Globe Postpaid and Platinum, both new and returning, can take use of these new services by paying a straightforward, modest monthly membership charge. For high-end devices, the service plan charge for Globe Gadget Xchange is PHP499 per month, with protection available for up to 48 months. The monthly fee for entry-level phones is PHP89.

Through a user-friendly online platform, device swap or replacement services can be requested at any time, with free pick-up and delivery to your door. A 12-month device replacement guarantee and a 3-month screen replacement warranty are also included.

New customers applying for postpaid plans in Globe Stores may add the Globe Gadget Xchange subscription via the application form. Online, new and recontracting subscribers just need to visit new.globe.com.ph, apply for a plan with device, then toggle the Globe Gadget Xchange button after selecting a device.

According to a recent bolttech research, over 50% of mobile plan users in the Philippines rank potential screen damage, unintentional breakage, and liquid damage as their top concerns for device protection. The ability to switch to a different mobile device type was another crucial feature they mentioned (43%).

For postpaid mobile subscribers in the Philippines, the agreement heralds a new era of device protection, according to Darius Delgado, Head of Globe’s Consumer Mobile Business.
